For me the beat backstory for Grievous is one that keeps his Kaleesh background as a warrior that saw his people destroyed by the jedi but also that he chose to become a cyborg to gain the power to get revenge against the jedi No shuttle crash, no brain manipulation, just a broken warrior who willingly sacrificed his sanity, his honor and his own body to destroy those who he believed to wield unearned power
Luke uses an accession gun on the sixth planet of the Hoth system in Empire.
Very fun questions! Love the podcast guys!!!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it.

23:57 Hiding in the N-1 wasn't Anakin's idea. Artoo loads himself into a starfighter, which is a very sensible move for him. The droid socket is protected by the ship armour, and there are metres of ship between the astromech and the fighting. Artoo has identified what is probably the safest place in all of Theed. After he gets in there, Artoo whistles for Anakin to join him. Again, this is the safest place he could possibly be: it doesn't even matter that the cockpit is open, because the enemy rifles are so far below the parked fighter. This story beat isn't Anakin getting spiritual guidance from the script, it's two characters who are both making the most rational decisions they possibly can.
So, was it his idea or not?
@@podcaststardust Quite by coincidence, I notice there's already a comment on the video which explains precisely that! Try giving that one a read. Sorry I can't point you directly at the relevant comment, but I'm sure you'll find it eventually, if you scroll through them all.
13:40 on the subject of Anakin risking it all for R2 I remember hearing the theory that R2 in way was Anakin’s wedding ring from Padma. Inorder to keep their marriage a secret they decided that instead of trading rings they would trade droids which is why 3PO ends up with Padma and R2 ends up with Anakin.
When is this coming out?
October 15
I found it. There is a scene when Admiral Yularen and Kenobi are speaking to Nala Se about evacuating the station. Immediately after that scene, the Clone ships are leaving to attack Malevolence and the music from Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan begins playing. I found the song. It's right here. ruclips.net/video/KwkglsAgwZU/видео.htmlsi=gUoft7ebEcan4Q3o
Nice find. The score for The Wrath of Khan is a good one.
I wonder how many people immediately recognized the hip hop music that the Clones were listening to as a knockoff of "The Message" by Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five.
Huh, we sure didn't recognize that. Good catch.
When are we watching "Rookies"?
We're doing one episode a week for now. They will generally be out on Mondays.
I guess, because you keep talking about it, I'll mention that it seems like throughout the Clone Wars series, even in the very first episode, the writers do all things to make sure that you see the Clone Army and the Droid Army as opposites. The Clones have individual personalities and therefore names, have different appearances, free will even so that some of them have betrayed the Republic and others have chosen a life outside of the military, and all the Clones are valued individually and are given individual rights, and they're loyal to each other, referring to themselves as brothers; but the droid army is full of cheaply made, nameless drones that are programmed and can't care about each other or grieve loss. Nala Se was surprised by how Anakin spoke of the fallen Clones with care and respect. He viewed them differently than she did. She views the Clones as property of the Kaminoans, and she takes care of the Republic's investments. To hear Anakin speak of them as if they were people, not property, made him a "curious Jedi" in her eyes.
Interesting that you use the word "genesis" because whenever someone even speaks of the Malevolence arc, the very first thing that comes to my mind is the music from "Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan" playing over and over in this episode. It was just before the torpedo for the Genesis project was launched and destroyed Khan's ship. That music played in this episode and another Clone Wars episode called "Cat and Mouse." I always wonder how many people have seen "The Wrath of Khan" to recognize the same music playing over and over again in a Star Wars program.
My favorite thing about this episode is the scene you mentioned, when Kenobi walked into a trap set by General Grievous, finding himself surrounded by droids. General Grievous, from a platform above, jumps down and lands in front of Kenobi and says: "Hello there!" So 3 years later, the opposite happened. Kenobi jumped down and reminded Grievous of that situation aboard the Malevolence. "Hello there!" I loved that! And this time, in this episode, it was one of the droids that said, "I have a bad feeling about this."

Star Wars has never been in such a dire state. Appreciate the attempt at enthusiasm from you guys though. Tough time to be a Star Wars fan.

Only 5 views? Does nobody else appreciate the classic Droids Saturday morning cartoon?
Thanks for checking it out. Droids was definitely classic Saturday morning viewing. Have no fear though, this episode got a lot more attention on other platforms.
There's no mystery, the show is trash, mystery solved. None of the characters do anything that make sense. There is no time delineation, characters literally teleport across the galaxy when they're need for the plot. Characters change motivation on a whim for no reason at all. Pretending that something is good because it's the new thing doesn't help anyone........
You are welcome to your opinion, but we've enjoyed the show so far. Doesn't seem like you listened to the episode based on your comment.
Do you think L.G. will score the Mandalorian and Grogu movie?
I hope so!
Disney's Starwars is garbage.
She lookks old because she was healing people
Acolyte ? Not for me. It’s not made for me. I’m a typical layman. I don’t know who it’s for.

I could only enjoy it if she crosses her arms at least fifty times and if the storyline is as horrible as what Dave Filoni crapped out for the show, which probably isn’t possible.
That is a pretty salty take.
Do you have a way of navigating your podcasts? I'd LOVE to listen to any podcast dealing with the EU (aka "Legends") novels, but that's it. Is there a good way to find those?
We are big fans of Legends as well. I don't know of a way of navigating for just those though. I did a quick search of an internal document I use, and I can tell you that we have Legends content in episodes 19 (From Legends to Canon Part 1), 23 (Part 2), 303 (Yuuzhan Vong), 305 (Star by Star), 306 (Tahiri), 309 (Top Ten Legends Characters), 462 (Compare and Contrast of Legends vs Canon Characters), 507 (Darth Maul Shadow Hunter), and 690 (The Courtship of Princess Leia). There are some others, but that will get you started.
@@podcaststardust Thanks. I'll listen to those. If I can make a suggestion? I would divide your videos into playlists by topic-that's what I do on my channel
@@SJHFotoThat's not a bad suggestion. However, these are all just uploaded automatically from my podcast host server and not independently uploaded. If I find some spare time, I may organize them.
I almost jumped the gun! When you said the release date was 2023 (instead of 2003), I almost shut this off thinking it was a comic unfamiliar to me (and I don't read/watch anything post-Disney SW)
Yeah, mistakes happen on the mic.
Garbage cluttering up my feed.
My take on the shovels were they used them to dig the ship out of the snow because it collapsed deeper into the snow when the worm first attacked.
Yeah, it could have been that. Weird how they didn't make any mention of what they were doing though.

I hope they bring all three of the prequels to Imax, I'd go see them!
That would be fun. I'd love to see them all get an anniversary release over the next few years.
I hope that they do something more interesting. Like a remastered version with unseen footage.
That would be pretty cool, but I wouldn't get my hopes up for it. Some people never got to see these movies in the theaters, so this will be a unique experience for them.
I like The Phantom Menace and always have, but I will pass. I don't support Disney at all, in any way. I have the George Lucas bluray set, so I am happy with that. No need to spend money on Disney. It is just a cash grab since they are in financial trouble, though I am sure it will work since Star Wars fans are stupid and keep running back to Disney because they cannot say no and then stick to it. Never have I seen a fandom so weak-kneed and ready to keep on throwing their money at a company that hates them.
You are certainly welcome to your own opinion, but it is fun seeing movies in the theaters. We are free to disagree, but let's try not to insult other fans.
Happy Star Wars podcast day!
Thank you! Thanks for listening!
Finally, an honest review, thank you @PodcastStardust 😁#RebelMoon #RMCU
Glad you enjoyed the discussion.
Its super refreshing hearing some possitive views on the prequels from people who primarily grew up around the original trilogy. I was born around the time Phantom Menace was being filmed, so I obviously grew up on the prequels. I also grew up on the originals as well when the 2004 special editions came out. Just fun to hear the different perspectives from all generations who watched this series. People always think I'm crazy when I say this, but I personally think the Phantom Menace is the best star wars film. Sure, Empire is the better film, but I think the fantasy elements and that whimsical sense of wonder and adventure was best utilized in this film. And I dont think its just nostalgia talking. I did grow up with this film, but I was too young to witness the hype. I was about two years and two months by the time this film dropped.
Thanks for listening! We are definitely fans of the PT. We'll have at least one episode a month this year about The Phantom Menace as we break it down for the 25th anniversary. I hope you'll check them out.
@@podcaststardust I will. I actually didn't know some of these facts about the film, and I watched the behind the scenes and trivia for this film religiously as a kid. 😅 great podcast.
Robert Zemeckis didn't direct Ghostbusters. That was Ivan Reitman.
Yeah. Mistakes happen.
Hondo? Easily the most underrated character in ALL of Star Wars. There. I said it.
We are huge fans!
Lol Star Wars is DEAD
How do you know it's going to automatically amazing?! Holy s***.
The shills are out in full Force, my friend.
Big PASS on this book.
Just found your podcast, looking forward to watching your channel grow.
Thanks for checking us out!
Love the Black and White emblem, I think I like it better than your regular one. Happy Life Day!
Thanks. We like it too. We have several logos, but the issue is how much space they take up on the image. In this case, it just looked too good with this image. Plus, Ahsoka was conveniently located on the right side of the screen. We're trying to mix up the logo usage a bit more. We'll see what happens.
Happy Anniversary!!!
