Music With Ten
Добавлен 20 июл 2020
I'm trying to learn how to play Didgeridoo, record and edit videos.
Didgeridoo Practice with Metronome
Demonstrating the ease of using a metronome to practice accuracy on the didgeridoo. I share some thoughts on techniques I'm still practicing. I even have a flute breakdown in the middle 😅 I'm having so much fun learning the didgeridoo. Who knew those trombone skills from grade school would come in handy.....it's like my music teacher had a crystal ball or something 🤣🤔
I have a base rhythm that I stick to and deviate all around demonstrating different techniques and rhythms.
Shout out to @DuendeDidgeridoo for firmly suggesting using a metronome. It really has helped me along in practice and I'm sounding better and better every day. 👍

#talharpa Re-string (😮Amazing Result!!!)
Просмотров 119Месяц назад
I took care of those 2 pesky strings that popped on me. I put on 2 new ones and the result if night and day. Such a difference in sound and quality. If they stay in tune, this will certainly be a playable and good sounding instrument! #woodworking #instrument #viking #norse #rune #traditional #horsehair #strings
Building a Talharpa From Start to Finish

I took on an ambitious project. I didn't have the money for a Talharpa, but I do have the #woodworking skills to build one. I had some boards of red oak, so I went to building. I also got to use some editing skill that I've been working on 😉 #talharpa #viking #norse #runes #norupo #ancient #music #traditional #instrument #horsehair #DIY #woodcarving #oak #custom #spiritanimals #deer #spirit #sp...
Talharpa Update
Просмотров 445 месяцев назад
I'm getting there!! It's been difficult since I decided to use red oak for most of the design and second, it's been 95 daily and the workshop doesn't have any cooling. It's been too hot to most days, but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Soon I'll have a start to finish video for your enjoyment 😁

This was a second location I picked to play at. You can see the instrument a lot better in this video. You can even see some large ants inspecting it in the video
Round Valley Reservoir Digeridoo

Went to #NJ #Bermudatriangle Round Valley Reservoir to FINALLY get some video of myself playing out in nature. The 4th of July holiday and long weekend allowed me to do just that. The weather was great, the water was warm, great company and good memories. Just a little goofing off.
The Big Reveal (Amazon Didgeridoo)
Просмотров 877 месяцев назад
After working on my didgeridoo for about a month, its FINALLY that time!! I spent so many hours sanding and inlaying the stones which had to be cut and sanded to shape. Had a causality with the first stone, so the second isn't the snuggest of fits, but I had to make it work. I wanted to film it in a special place to me, but the weather just wouldn't cooperate. Spring showers and all 🌻🌸🪻 I have ...
Musical Meditations - 02 Digeridoo/steel drum
Просмотров 448 месяцев назад
I borrowed my friends steel tongue drum, so I got out my PVC didgeridoo and got to jammin' I started with the most basic rhythm on the drum because playing 2 different instruments with totally different mechanics is difficult. Today I wanted to focus on overtones using the steel drums range to play higher and lower overtones on the didgeridoo. Super fun and I'm getting better at the didgeridoo ...

Big reveal Finished Didgeridoo ruclips.net/video/IAgGGzTYfDs/видео.htmlsi=6eBt8_-BYtTbDRUx Greetings viewers! Here's my latest video about a Didgeridoo purchase that went wrong and what I'm doing about it. Still working on my recording and editing skills. This time I was able to lay down some music in the background, so it doesn't sound so quiet in the video. I had to play this Teak Didgeridoo ...
Musical Meditations - 01 PVC Didgeridoo

Every morning, I try to meditate. Some days I like to incorporate music into my meditations. This is just a small sample of a few things I've learned on the Didgeridoo over my 6-month journey learning this fascinating instrument. This is played on my $40 PVC Didgeridoo. Enjoy!❤️
Didgeridoo Video Response

This is a video response to "Didgeridoo rhythm exercise for absolute beginners - no circular breathing needed" by @DuendeDidgeridoo I'm trying to learn video/picture editing while learning how to play the didgeridoo. So, I figured why not get some practice in for both! I only started playing the didgeridoo at the end of August of 2023, but I practice daily, which might not be evident from the v...
Brilliant progress! Keep playing and keep sharing. Good reminder to us all about the powers of the metronome.
We share some issues on didgeridoo channel. To make a video, means to record it ten times before. So get more practise due to my perfectionism when uploading than the rutines (and is far from perfect). Keep didgin!
Nice!! I just watched your metronome video. Nice evolution from this one! 🎉
Happy man there!! ❤ Its nice to see you enjoying metronome and didgeridoo, I had them separated, they fight each other. One is jelous of the other so I cannot play with both. I like your loose technique on minute 10. Nice experimenting. Thanks for share it!!🎉
I love you man!! Just awesome work here!
💛💛💛💛 that's so awesome man.
Awesome dude. Cant wait to hear with new strings. Looks amazing.
Можно даже на своей гитарке подшуровывать.
Hello good
That bounce breathing at the end was really good maybe it's my didge but I'm really bad at bounce breathing for me it's a lack of control. Thanks for sharing that music with us
I'm still trying to get that 4-count wobble. I got the 3-count wobble down: both variables. ( taKa Wat and Gaa WatWat) I'm so close to that 4 count....so close.
💛💛💛💛 That was awesome. your toots were practically seamless and effortless it looked like.
They have come a long way that's for sure. ❤️
Hell yeah, dude! Good to see you out and jamming
Wait until I finish that Talharpa and Morin Khuur. I got lots of plans for those. Finally, gonna debut the throat singing 😳
Oh heck yeah, this sounds cool to me
You know that you can return the item to Amazon up to 30 days after you receive it . Why didn't you do this ?
Because the point is to take garbage and turn it into semi-professional instruments without the semi professional price tag
Is this where the rayman music comes from?😭
maybe 🤔
Badass! So glad to see you keeping up with doing this.
I kid you not, some days I practice for 4 or 5 hours straight..... And I don't even realize it. I have to play at least an hour everyday. You know what they say practice makes perfect and it sure as hell is showing!
What an honour 🤗 nice played!
It's probably because I have your 2 hour play sessions playing in the background while I do chores and stuff around the house. It got stuck in my head subliminally 🤣🤣
💛💛💛💛
Great job! I had to do similar work to a eucalyptus I bought. I had to widen the bell to broaden its range.
Very nice!
So glad to finally see the reveal thank you for sharing this with us, TLDR for those who don't want to read all of what I wrote. Your videos are good just keep being yourself. Also try not to be so hard on yourself so far your video's seem put together very well, and you just being yourself and you showing enthusiasm for what you like it shows authenticity and that's what matters most being true to yourself.
I set such a high bar for myself that it gets me upset at times. I'm proud of my work but I also want to stay humble and grounded. It's getting better. I have lots of ideas for both long form and short form videos.
Vary beautiful.

not that bad - how much u pay for that F?
Long story short, I paid nothing for it. Originally it was $150 but the post office lost it for about a month so I got a refund. Then randomly one day I got a 5 foot box on my porch and it was the didge. That's why I want to put the work into it. The bones are good it just needs a little TLC.
I payed 143€. I do still like it very much. I think its a good beginner instrument for me. I have been practising sinse july. Learned breathing on a didge 20years ago on cheap bamboo didge, but never learned to play. Now i am trying to fix that.
@@junttivision7743 that's awesome man! 143€is a fair price for a beginners instrument. The Didgeridoo is a really interesting instrument for a hollow log. So versatile yet so simple. I wish you all the best on your learning journey. 👍
Cant wait for the update. Hope it will work. Having same problem. Luckily no cracks, but sound is muffled and needs much pressure when playing for a while.
Soon very soon. I already got the inside sanded out to my liking. We just had some bad weather so I had to pause everything. Tomorrow I'm gonna seal up the inside and do some decorative stuff on the outside and it'll be ready to present and play maybe by the end of the week
Inspirational. Such true words at the end of your video. Keep playing, keep recording and keep sharing!!!
Congrats 🎉 nice you made the movie though! Would be interested to watch the progress over two weeks?! So maybe will you make one more video in two weeks?
I'm try for sure. I really wanted to make a sound comparison video for the 2 didgeridoos that I own. Honestly, it might also be a good way to track my own progress. I wish I had started in late August when I didn't even know how to blow into the didgeridoo.
I can't describe how much love I felt while watching this video. Congrats, excellent job!!!
