Yep. Apart from silly mistakes, it's the QTE that messes up everything. While it's active you can't draw/put back weapons, switch weapons with X, activate overdrive, etc. Idk why it was implemented like that.

I just went around Primordia and fought whatever was in my level range until I levelled up enough to fight stronger things, and so on. The longsword auras and the skills I used carried me pretty well.

It really does take very long. Requires some dedication to do this.

I don't think using a 260 diskbomb over a 250 will make any difference that isn't negligible. The setup already one-shots every boss phase. If I had a switch, I'd love to hop on the DE, but I don't. Hope you have fun though!

Hi. I'm quite busy these days, so not too active, but still active nonetheless. What I was doing before dealing the killing blow was building count until maximum, then using Energy Source repeatedly until I got the Potential Up buff at rank VI, which is needed to maximize damage. Usually it only grants a rank V Potential Up buff, and I didn't have any Draw Ranged or Underdog soul voice to easily get it, so I had to keep reapplying the buff until it was raised by one tier. In this game, buffs, debuffs, and auras have a small chance to increment in tier level if the same tier of buff/debuff/aura is applied again while already active. I did the same thing with Black Butterfly; normally inflicts Ether Res Down V, so I used it until the debuff tier would jump to VI. Hope that answers your question! :D

Thanks! Since I reached level 60 very early on, that made it easy for me to make a good skell. I used Joker, the Unknowable's nest in the Divine Roost to quickly and easily level him up, with the help of a phoenix skell weapon, which has a large area of effect that's perfect for frying all the bugs. The nest can be reached without the need of the flight module thanks to some skell parkour (I have a video showing how to do this). Sorry for the late reply btw.

Hell yeah! It's about time XCX finally got an update of some sort, and look - it's getting a port next March! I don't have a Switch, so I won't be getting XCX DE, but I'm really happy the game will become relevant again.

It's been a few months since the online shut down, so I imagine that just a few people are still playing this

(Oops, accidentally hit the send button early) It's been 9 years too. An experience without online doesn't feel too great. Besides, I've not much left to do in this game anyway, so I might move on soon.

@@chucklnuts2206 even more interestingly, a single person is responsible for development of majority of the games, known as ZUN. Aside from fighting games which were developed with other people, he does everything by himself. Also keep in mind that this franchise is kinda old, first game was released in 1997, while first Windows game, Touhou 6, was released on 2002

The difficulty of the last words is called "Last word". In other words, it is its own thing, separate from the other difficulty categories (Easy, Normal, Hard, Lunatic, Extra). Talking about its actual difficulty and comparing them to the other categories, I would say some last words are about the same as Lunatic level, while others are pretty easy, like a high Normal or low Hard difficulty.

Yeah, although movement is a bit hard to control, ground jump height is really high. You can even do some tricks on foot and get on the top of Oblivia's Giant Ring without a skell!

For me, this is about the top 2-5 of my favorite games, I’m just an old player, I’ve been playing since 1994 or so, and I saw this game relatively recently, about 3 years ago, but even so I really liked it. I'm really looking forward to the remake/remaster :) @@GoReadTheManga

Aha, at the same time I'm glad people are still searching for XCX content, although that's mainly because the online servers are set to shut down soon. Sure, feel free to use ideas from these builds. Hopefully a port/remake will come soon.
