A fun lazy weekend in the bay, snorkelling at Blairgowrie pier in Port Phillip Bay, just over an hours drive south of Melbourne on the Mornington Peninsula.     Hey, great vid! Where abouts in port phillip bay were the banjo sharks filmed? I live in melbourne and have been snorkelling at rickett's point and am looking to expand my options. Cheers :)

      Mate Banjo Sharks can be found throughout the bay, I would recommend really anywhere with some type of reef but not necessary

      Hi Jett, Thanks! We use a mix of GoPro cameras, majority of this is on a Hero 7 Black.

    Great video, I grew up in beaumais in the 60s and 70s my parents lived there until just recently 60 odd years, I spent many hours diving around that area, this has brought back some great memories, I have super 8 film of me aged 3 at rickets point, thanks for posting this😉

      Thanks HQ, we always do our best not to disturb the wildlife when we are in their back yard. The first eagle-ray spooked as we where moving on, and the other two where free swimming and simply crossed paths with us. The local Banjo sharks (fiddler rays) are very used to divers and more often than not just relax in our company. It's a very fine line, but we certainly make sure not to physically interact or interrupt any of the wildlife, and let them do their thing. Cheers! ^_^
