Best Buy 4K/Blu-Ray Haul - The Final Trip?
I was able to open without destroying the small vinyl. Took a knife and lots of time slowly.
Why did they choose an Uzbek name Anora, if the girl is not from Uzbekistan? 🇺🇿🤔
@@Carl29330 Didn’t even think about that. Apparently from what I can tell, the character is actually Uzbek-American. Though she grew up in a Russian-Speaking family.
Great review. I really want to watch this movie. I've seen the trailers a lot in the last few movies I've seen at the theaters.
Pick up Ikiru.
For the 7” , I just cut the strip that was glued down on the back and made it into a regular sleeve for the disc
I’ve been waiting for Barry Lyndon to get a 4K release all year. I hope you’re right that it’ll be soon because it would be an immediate purchase 🙏🏼😮💨 I didn’t pick up anything from this sale as I’m waiting for the Barnes & Noble sale coming up shortly
@@TravisFirestine I was a little surprised it wasn’t their part of their big December announcements. I would think it a huge title that would sell a lot. Hopefully this year we’ll get it. 🤞
You hit the nail on the head with the reference to the back shelf of the video store 80's movie! As it turns out, if I am not mistaken, this is a loose remake of the 1988 film "The Rejuvenator".
Thanks
Great review. Thanks!
Ray liotta was casted to be the slimeball boss originally but after he died Quaid was recast as the replacement
@@tonyrodrigues9425 Interesting. I’m sure Liotta would’ve been fantastic as well. RIP.
I love how the older albums have such consistent quality throughout. All of the songs are great in those ones, not just the singles. One of my favorites is Through with You from SAJ.
I have this I got it at Wal-Mart the 4K upscale is for TV that's not 4K I turn on the Dolby vision when you play blu-rays
Great review! I've heard nothing but stellar things about this film-can't wait to see it.
@@Fred-vh1mk Thanks! Kinda jealous, not gonna lie, wish I could watch it for the first time again 😂
I agree with you in regards to Hitman. It was just...not great. It looked and felt like generic Netflix content.
hi! do you know if they also released a digipack packaging of law & order season 1? (the first year)
i found someone selling it, he/she even showed me videos of it (it's a pre-loved item btw) but im having second thoughts bcs it might be a counterfeit idk
Do you have Law & Order Organized Crime with Stabler on DVD?
@@jonathanmyers2867 I don’t. Not even sure if they’ve been officially released. It’s sad how so many shows these days go unreleased on physical media.
I've seen many different reactions to the third act and the film as a whole which is quite refreshing! Was good to get your thoughts, nice review!
This was so good. I watched it on release day and even got a face hugger popcorn bucket. That last scene got everyone in my theater gasping.
You're an !d!ot. Alien Romulus was complete garbage. I enjoyed every Alien movie including Alien vs Predator, but this movie was a total disappointment. Teenagers in space talking to an android who was obliterated in the first movie. There's nothing to like about this movie.
Starts off and I see no seven samurai, yeah not watching any further
I'd rank them in reverse chronological order
Perfect Days is excellent! Still waiting on my online order here in Canada
@@hvitekristesdod Checked it out last week and absolutely loved it!
Great selections!
@@jmjm360 Thanks!
Nice pickups. Will you get Risky Business?
@@adamkhana5633 I’ll probably get it later, just not this sale. Maybe the October flash sale.
You’re my favorite channel. Looked forward to this vid all month
@@The_Matt_McGarvey_Show Thank you!
When I went I also grabbed about 6 of those steelbooks. $18 is a sweet deal. Hard to find here in Canada. I just got perfect days today, had to pay full price though.
I just got back from watching this movie too. Really good but I agree that Cage's performance was a bit over the top. Also the ending was quite underwhelming.
Awesome video! Keep it up!
@@augustkellerwrites Thanks!
great review! keep it up buddy!
@@DanacaoZumbi Thank you!
I saw it today the star had oiled gym muscles and his girl was doing a bad Brooklyn accent no plot to speak of squeeky clean looking cars hired for the day buncha two dimensional cutouts posing their way through this painful sh!t.
Totally agree with you on The Big Lebowski. It's my all time favorite film and has to be one of the funniest scripts ever written.
I also love Y Tu Mama Tambien. I got it on DVD when it came out but i lost it years ago. May need to buy that criterion blu ray. Cool summer picks.
@@VinylPotato Thanks! It’s a great release, tons of awesome bonus features, and the Barnes & Noble sale is coming up!
Nice collection! These are the ones I have so far Hausu Paris, Texas Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me Mulholland Drive (also my favourite film :) ) Blue Velvet Seven Samurai Fantastic Planet Funny Games The Piano Teacher Videodrome Naked Lunch Cure Memories of Murder Y Tu Mama Tambien Ghost World
Cronenberg’s Crash is one I need to rewatch. The Criterion doesn’t seem to be on Amazon though for some reason
Who wants to see a mad Max movie without mad Max...🤷
Because it didn't bring anything new, boring and predictable.
Lmao dude what, almost everything in it was new information
@@FamousCoozie So you may be young or ignorant.
Unlike every Marvel movie?
I think they should have promoted Dementus more, maybe have ppl know it was Hemsworth. Shame ppl aren't going to see this, i enjoyed fury road more after watching this
Pretty bad stuff... quit now. slurpy. annoying face. watch the source materials or at least the prequels.
Because it was boring. No one cares about Furiosa. It told a story no one cared about or wanted to see. The CGI was crap. The chase scenes were boring, stilted and half-assed. We wanted old Max and the wasteland movie to cap it off. Now we'll never get that. This the worst Mad Max movie, dead last after "Thunderdome".
Clearly you haven't seen the movie. If you want "half-assed" go watch too fast too furious....
@ClownPnis I have seen the movie. Clearly, you don't know what hell you're babbling about. It ended with Furiosa sneaking Immorten Joe's wives into the war rig to apparently connect it with the far superior "Fury Road". Happy now?
@@IHRZGHKIP i guess you must've been texting crappy comments on RUclips while watching it. Nothing about this movie was "half assed". These people worked their asses off to deliver an epic mad max tale (which it did). Just because you need a Tom Hardy in it doesnt mean everyone does 😂
@@ClownPnis I'm sorry your standards are so low. You must live a very unsatisfying life.
Lol, who the hell wants to see Mel Gibson at his age play Mad Max? The dude is 68 years old. I doubt he can even drive a wheelchair now. Maybe 15 years ago an old man Mad Max with Gibson could have worked, but now it would be nothing but an embarrassment. Dial of Destiny all over again. 'Member berries don't make for good movies. As for Furiosa; I thought it was pretty damn good. Not as good as Fury Road and The Road Warrior, but a lot better than Mad Max 1 and Thunderdome.
I wanna check this out, I enjoyed fury road but didn't love it.
i love that player i been uses it
Maroon 5 released an album called "The Fourth World" before "Songs About Jane" was released under the name Kara's Flowers in 1997.
True. I didn’t include it because it wasn’t officially a Maroon 5 album, as the band hadn’t been officially formed yet. I’m also not a huge fan of that record, but it’s an interesting one for sure.
What is your Letterboxd link or username I didn’t see a link in the description of your video.
boxd.it/hF3P Must’ve forgot to put it in the description.
@@thenerdypunk143 no worries added.
I loved it. Kristen Stewart and the whole cast did so good. It’s my second favorite film of the year. Definitely check out Saint Maud.
I grabbed all these except black panther. I had the 4k slip already. Ironclaw I liked but it was a depressing movie that I don’t think I’d revisit anytime soon.
Awesome you enjoyed this. I was a little lower but. I was glad it wasn’t a John wick clone. The shaky cam did bother me though.
Yeah, I’m happy it had some depth to it and wasn’t just cliche action movie.
I bought poor things as well. Yeah it’s dumb that there’s no 4k. Also out of all these the only one I saw was King Richard. It was pretty good.
Hey I just stumbled on your channel and subbed. I also review the latest movies on my channel as well. I really loved the visuals and sound. The war action was great as well. I wasn’t big on the characters though. I gave the same score. Enjoyed your thoughts dude.
Exciting July announcements for sure! I’m pumped for Risky Business 4K and Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid 4K.
I’m definitely considering picking up those along with Perfect Days. I’m very pleased with the announcements.
I wanna see this. I hate politics and political films but from what I hear, that isn’t an issue here. You bring up some good points. When I first saw the trailer, it felt very generic to me.
For the subject matter, it’s surprisingly apolitical. Definitely not preachy, which I appreciated.
I really liked poor things and glad to own it also. I don’t mind it’s Bluray only, I see ur point about having that on 4k but doesn’t bother me. Rebel without a cause I enjoyed a lot. Thought Dean was great but it’s a pretty divided film. King Richard was very good as well.
While Poor Things would look incredible in 4k imo, I think what frustrates me more is Disney’s lack of caring about the intellectual property they own and physical media as a whole. Happy to have it on Blu-ray though.
@@thenerdypunk143 oh I agree 100%. It’s a shame, they can’t be oblivious to the fact that there’s certainly a market
