This channel is all about gaming, gear, and geek life in general! There are a lot of things that I want to cover on this channel and it may differ from video to video. I enjoy talking about games the most but if there is a piece of tech that I am going crazy about, I will want to talk about that also.
This is really just a place for me to talk to the world about whatever I want! I also extend that to you, provided it is civilized and within the guidelines of youtube.

A streamer I watch played this and it seems like a lot of fun! I decided to try it and see how bad I am at the game! With that being said, the only thing I seem to be bad at is audio... sorry about that. With that I hope you enjoy!!! #gaming #hotlinemiami #gameplay
A Ramble about The Last Campfire

I got another quick ramble today about The Last Campfire! Nothing too crazy about this game. I am not sure I would consider it a "cozy game" but it is pretty chill! I really liked the puzzles in the game and was ok with it being the main thing you do throughout the game. I hope you enjoy the video and don't forget to like and subscribe! #gaming #thelastcampfire #3ggeek

There has been alot of frustrating stuff concerning Ubisoft recently and I have been processing all of it to some extent. This news about Star Wars Outlaws has been very disappointing and I have been trying to figure out how I feel about AC Mirage at the same time. I am worried about what the future of Ubisoft games will look like. #ubisoft #starwarsoutlaws #assassinscreedmirage

Hahahaha!
Like you, I have played all type of Ubisoft products for many years (PoP, R6A, Splinter cell times) and I will agree with the decline in quality of their games as a whole. Regarding Watch Dogs, it has been hit or miss from the start, Legion being great as an idea, but not every idea will come out in terms of execution. Far Cry had found a formula that worked and people loved, but then they also wanted something different, so I think it is also difficult for devs to get it right. For AC, as a fan from the start of the franchise, there are several thoughts in itself on how/why we ended up where we are. But as you focused on Mirage, I will do so as well. Should it have been a DLC of Valhalla? I disagree because stating it as full-length game of let's say 30h makes it okay to have games that long in the franchise. Everyone complained about the length of Valhalla, but if the game is not 50h+ then it should just be a DLC? That does not make any sense. Overpriced? possibly slightly, yes. But considering the efforts in the creation of a complete new environment and changes compared to the RPG trilogy (and I liked both personally), it takes efforts to make it. As for an outlook of Ubisoft games, their main issue has been the writing/questing since AC4/FarCry3 times I want to say. Since then, writing mostly serves gameplay rather than the opposite. Games are still gorgeous to look at no matter the engines (Division, Avatar, AC), and the gameplay are quite acceptable, but the story and quests are quite lackluster. The AC lore with all the mythological parties (which I am really not a fan of at all) is in shambles and really difficult to follow what is actually going on. They want to make it adult, but it still very PG in their approach, every storyline feel a bit premeditated. That is my biggest gripe with Ubisoft these days. Their future is tied to sales and public perception, if people don't buy or have lost interest in their franchises, they will aim to make changes. Otherwise, they will try to do the same and cash in like any other company/developer. It's all a matter of expectations. I no longer expect the same quality from their games that I used to. Mirage is the first AC I did not play at launch (except Unity for obvious reasons) but I have finished a few months after release and thoroughly enjoyed what it brought because I no longer expect another AC2 (which for me has never been topped storywise). But that does not mean their games are shit and are not enjoyable anymore. I would say that I enjoy them even more these days because I know what they are than when I expected Brotherhood to be as good as AC2 or Unity as good as AC4.
Thanks for the response! I agree with most of what you are saying. The only real thing that I disagree with is the DLC part. I understand what you are saying in terms of the length and I agree that a game can be 30 hours and still be good. I personally don't need a game to be a certain length to consider it a good game. It wasn't really the point of the video to harp on Mirage the whole time so I didn't feel the need to expand on it. But I feel Mirage is padded with lackluster side quests and collectibles. I think if the fluff was stripped away and Ubisoft just focused on telling the story of Basim they could have had a decent DLC of Valhalla that I would have paid for instead of whatever that Dawn of Ragnarök $40 add-on thing was (personal preference). I do have other problems with the game but it feels more like a preference for the way previous AC games did things vs how Ubisoft did it in Mirage.
You're just a Ubisoft hater! Ubisoft is a good and innocent company trying to live its best life. Haters gonna hate. Great ramble, 3G!!!!
Lol! Thanks
Did you boop its nose?
I wanted too
I mean you sound like you just don't enjoy ARPG games all that much and that is fine. I am a huge D2 fan but I wouldn't recommend it to people who don't like ARPGs or retro gaming either.
They are not my favorite type of game. But it seemed like fun. What do you think of the other Diablo games?
@@3ggeek Imo D3 is not completely bad game but it's a terrible sequel. They basically took everything D2 players loved about the franchise and got rid of it. D4 feels kind of similar to me. I don't feel like I'm the target audience for these sequels anymore. PoE definately feels like a spiritual successor to D2. More than anything Blizzard released in last 25 years...
On a baseline level all the Diablo games have replayability issues. I think D2 is the best of the lot due to its itemization being far superior. I’ve come around to finding some weird enjoyment in hunting rare items in D2 and trading GG items. The other Diablo games I got bored with rather quickly after beating the content & the game mechanics afterwards felt too much like a job and purposeless to keep me around. Regarding ur first vid… I had to lol at the keyboard warriors that decided to be total dicks and leave nasty comments - first world problems at their finest.
Some of them were so aggressive and for what? Lol 😆
your rant is not the same as mine so you are wrong!
The fun is in the journey not just the destination itself.

@@3ggeek haha okay. It was just the tip of an iceberg though.
Well, the rest of the iceberg doesn't sound like fun to me.
@@3ggeek so which diablo game you find fun?
@@panzfaust9812 So far, I have played through Diablo 2. I have played a little bit of Diablo 3, but not much. So far, Diablo 3 is not alot of fun
Busting the Hell's doors wide open I see! Lol I like it. Great job 👏👏👏
Lol! Thanks 🤣
Diablo 1 was inspired by rogue, and has a gothic horror vibe, and as a result is the slowest of the 5 games. Diablo 2 is for people who like theory crafting, has a bit more power fantasy than Diablo 1, still gothic, just dropping the horror - best for people who like to try a lot of different characters. Diablo 3 is more arcade oriented, and is the power fantasy peak for the series, current iteration is super easy, but if you're not interested in post-game grinding, it generally won't hold your attention. Diablo Immortal is just "Diablo 3 for mobile with exploitative MTX design" - gameplaywise it's the same as D3, but there are pay incentives and pay barriers. Diablo 4 is "Diablo as a Service" - the story is about on par with 3 (both suffer a lot from McGuffin syndrome, and "but they got away"), the itemization is worse and less fluid, and while it was designed as a power fantasy, the scaling system kind of hinders this - so the power tends to be U shaped (strong in beginning, sloggish in the middle, back up to powerful at the end) Even though my favorite is Diablo 2 (of the franchise) - iso-aRPGs are not for everyone (doesn't help that d1, d2, and d3 are essentially all different genres if you dive deep into them - and d3/di/d4 are all post-mmoification of the genre, which means the goal of them is explicitly to grind the endgame, with the story essentially being the super long tutorial and a bit of world building) Only note for the video - practice minimizing the "uhs" and "ums" - took me a while, but it really does help the flow of the video ("better silence than filler"), best of luck with your reviews. (word of advice on holy fire paladin, zeal is what makes it work for damage output - it's not really a challenge build, it's actually the easiest build for the paladin going through normal lol - but it is definitely a fun build)
Thanks for the feedback!
It sucks u didn't play either someone who knows what they're doing. D2 is all about grinding for the juicy end game loot. A normal playthrough doesn't show u anything. Also choosing the barb as ur first class would be the worst decision u could have made. It's literally the worst class unless u have a shit ton of gear ready for jt
Maybe it's just me and a handful of other dedicated PVP players that think of it this way, but to me, PVP is the capstone activity of the game. I know a lot of people cringe at the idea of min-maxing and/or competitive play due to the nature of the grind and some of the bad attitudes you'll run into along the way, but I've never had even half as much fun building characters that way in any other game I've played. Learning about the way all the gear interacts with each class and sub-type through breakpoints is what makes the character building so interesting when strategizing how you're going gear up for various types of fights. There are a ton of intricate details and mechanics for how to play in different situations during PVP in D2, and the vast majority of players have no idea about most of it, it's a real shame. Organized team PVP (especially 4v4, but 2v2 and 3v3 has its place as well) is a ton of fun. Once you get into the upper echelon of Team PVP matches, it's kind of like watching a really chaotic DBZ fight, particularly to the untrained eye. Those of us that play on that level can easily see what's going on, but it can admittedly take a really long time to learn everything if you don't have somebody, or multiple people, to expedite your learning about it all by helping to guide you there.
its really about getting through to hell and working on getting the best gear for your build and trying new builds. the more characters you have geared the easier it is to gear other characters as you go. the real fun really comes from item collection. the game functions like a slot machine that the more you play it the more you win because you end up with better gear for faster clear speeds as well as more magic find.
also when you get the best gear you can start to farm the Ubers. Uber diablo, mephisto, Duriel and Baal which drop torches. not to mention the mechanic of selling an SOJ to fight diablo clone leading to you getting an ANNI charm. so yes the story stays the same but you learn what to skip and over all the game is more about farming specific zones that your character is capable of in order to get gear for that toon and other characters.
To everyone else who is being negative, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. Diablo 2 is easily one of the most overrated games of all time.
You're the MVP!!! Thank you!!!

Buddy your opinion on whether it's a good game is kind of irrelevant considering you've barely even played it. Not sure what the point of this video is.
The point is a ramble about Diablo 2....
Someone show this video to Kotaku cause I think we can get him hired there since they love bad takes.
Ha! So funny
Uh did you actually finish it or did you just beat normal lol
You might be able to guess... but I just beat it on normal
@@3ggeekthats just the tip.
there is a higher level of knowledge required to get into d2 properly but its by for the best game in the genre imo. its not really a game for someone that has a low drive of learning the game from outside info
Normal, nightmare, Hell mode. "Playthrough Normal" is not a playthrough in D2.
Noted

With all due respect you haven’t really played the game yet lol. It’s a great power creep game, hard to attain gear which makes it more rewarding. I’m biased as I’ve played since early 2000’s off and on but there’s lots of ways to enjoy this game still.
Skill issue buddy.
Best game ever 🎉
D2R is the goat
Once you beat the game in hell difficulty, the tutorial is over. Then you have to get on to trying builds, other characters, crafting, rerolling, magic finding. oh jeez. it's endless.
I've never played this game but everything you said has offended me to my core
Lol!!
Think of D2 like this: Regular Difficulty is your tutorial phase Nightmare is your powering up phase Hell is your perfection phase Ubers are your endgame phase and Slaughtering noobs is your anytime phase.
The barb is definitely the most boring and mind numbing build that exists. The pally is tons of fun and you can respec into a better more exciting build from holy fire. There’s numerous mechanics that d2 has which makes it even more exciting when you understand them. The melee builds are underwhelming in d2r so i say give some of the casters a shot to see if you like it more. If i only played barb or pally in the beginning I would never continue to play the game 😅
Unfortunately, you have a very narrow view of D2. If all it did was hold you through normal, so be it. However, D2 is designed to take your character to higher "difficulties" after Normal. A "playthorugh" would be you took your character from Normal to Nightmare to Hell. After you complete Hell "difficulty," then your playthrough is "finished." I put finished in quotes because, in general, a big part of ARPGs is that after you complete the campaign, you are able to do side content (uber bosses, events ect..) and progressively make your character stronger and stronger. In each "difficulty," you are able to find different equipment that you didn't have access to in the previous difficulties. The "story" in D2 only takes you to level ~25 and max level is 99. If you only played through normal and you enjoyed yourself, I suggest you take the time to beat hell. Finding items can inspire you to make other characters (another huge part of ARPGs) or entice you to play Hardcore, where the real Chads play. Get your partner involved too! Some of the Paladin's auras work for group play.
Thank you for explaining it better than others in this comment section! But I gotta ask, is there more story, new levels, or some new things I am missing other than new items?
@@3ggeek Well, keep in mind D1 being the progenitor of the ARPG genre and D2 popularizing it, they were the first of their kind. While I wouldn't say there is a ton of "content" you're missing out on (Compared to modern ARPGs), you are missing out on the "full" experience of the game. You're missing out because you haven't really played the game. It's like beating "act 1" of a story game and saying you've completed the game and move onto another even though there are often 3+ acts to a story. To more directly answer, there isn't more story, but there are bosses you haven't fought, Uber Tristram, Diablo Clone and Terror Zones. I might even wager you haven't played the Cow level either. But really, "new zones" is just different areas to farm gear/xp in. "Missing out on new items" in ARPGs is pretty huge though. A lot of items in ARPGs are "build enabling" meaning the character couldn't be played without them or are much much weaker versions without them. Normal difficulty is really the "tutorial" of the game showcasing all the monster mechanics and introducing you to your character skills. The fact the last skills unlock at 30, and you could put 20 points into them, should tell you the game is far from completion.
@ohyea456 Thank you again for the explanation! It seems that I did miss parts of the game.
@@3ggeek Maybe it's just me and a handful of other dedicated PVP players that think of it this way, but to me, PVP is the capstone activity of the game. @@JustheresoIdontgetfined7 Not to mention that the search for the perfect GG PVP items can be even harder and even more rewarding than finding the rarest uniques and runes.
