Has the bend in your finger fully healed?
13 months now since the initial injury : Finger is completely straight now with no bend whatsoever but it does not grip inwards fully , best way of explaining it would be that I can grip a tennis racket without problem but I am unable to grip a golf club which is a lot narrower and the finger will not bend sufficiently to touch the grip fully . Maybe with time and training it will do but I recon it will take another 6 months and even then will not have the range of grip that it had pre injury

That looks much like mine did after the splint came off, although your swollen 'ridge' extends further to the PIP than mine. After a total of five months now (two months without the splint), I would say strength has improved but swelling and lag have pretty much held station.
Are you healed now? Are you completely flat?
@@HamzaKağnici Things had improved quite a lot 2-3 months after the splint came off, and I exercised the finger by playing a lot of clawhammer style stuff on the guitar. I think there are only 3-5 degrees of lag at full extension now (so barely noticeable) and the dorsal swelling is almost completely gone. My conclusion is that even a mediocre outcome at twelve weeks can turn into an almost complete recovery with patience. A year works wonders.
