Mario Kart 64 Got Remade for the Wii!!
In today's video, I play Mario Kart 64 Remade, a recreation of Mario Kart 64 inside the Mario Kart Wii engine. Everything from the tracks to the user interface, music and more have been overhauled. Hope you guys enjoy!

Banshee Boardwalk is my favorite track in the entire game! DK's Jungle Parkway and Koopa Troopa Beach are both classics. So yeah, they are some of my favorite tracks in this game!

I’m definitely in the minority when I say I prefer all these over wonder. Even though they all play and look very similar (in terms of the general art style) I love how simple they are
I am so with you on that! I found Wonder to be too complex to the point where it didn't feel like what normal 2D Mario is. I like simple, which is why I love the New Super Mario Bros. Series!

i was just casually reading the comments and no one noticed frappe snowland music is different from sherbet land in a small detail lol, there are lots of small details and easter eggs on this mod and im glad you guys liked it ^^ The music i made for this mod (restoration and remixes) can be heard on my channel, i already uploaded some of it so people can hear it

@@Ballomatic_ yeah since the music in the N64 game is compressed a lot i had to remade the music using the original instruments sources so it sounds better ^^

Well, maybe a better word would have been "remade." I was not exactly sure how to title this. Edit: I went ahead and changed the title to make more sense because many people seemed to be confused.

This is pretty cool, at first I thought it was a port of the original game just like Super Mario 64 decompilation but this is better since Mario Kart 64 already runs fine in the Wii if you want the original.
Yeah, I know that Mario Kart 64 already existed on the Wii via Virtual Console. But, this was such a cool idea to give the game a different coating, which I think worked very well!

@@ThatOneSuperCircuitGuy That's just the original game though. This remakes the entirety of the game inside of Mario Kart Wii. So, it's very different.
Nintendo should have just added all the snes n64 and gamecube tracks to mario kart wii tbh ngl imo btw sts

I the did an amazing job restoring the music and sound effects to fit within Wii which is nice and it’s actually fun and fake item just acts like a bomb when u hit it
Yeah, the sheer effort that went into this mod is just mind-blowing! The creator left almost no details out! They could have easily just put the tracks in there and that's it, but I'm glad they did so much more!
6:54 There actually WAS a speedometer in MK64! You had to use the yellow buttons on the top right of the controller and toggle it, and it would actually make the minimap disappear :) Also! It looked like an actual speedometer with a needle and a "clock-style" gage.
