Thank you for this. I had a heck of a time trying to flatten it out the first time. Your demonstration saved me. I watched three videos before finding yours.
Will be buying this for a canoe I was gifted. I don’t mind spending the extra cash since I didn’t have to buy the canoe! Thank you for the review. I’m 250 5’11 & I can do without them, but I’m not the best swimmer so it’s more “piece of mind.” Thanks again can’t wait for 2025 spring 😎
I hope you find it as useful as I did. Canoes are going to wobble....but, it really increased my confidence to shift around and set hooks without thinking I was going to flip. I also liked the ability to shift them in and out while on the water and based on need, including when I was pulling up to a bank with cattails or stumps around. Thanks for watching, and keep sharing this channel and your input!
thank you so much, the directions really didn't help me collapse the cot.
Glad it helped! I'm assuming that was a typo. Keep sharing and getting out there!
Thank you for your review! Will have to buy some these! My sons always complain about the bulky life jackets so def would like this!
Yeah, I found these to be much more comfortable and cooler. Make sure to check the size restrictions for each one. I believe they made youth sizes, and I know they have a fanny pack style too. I believe I put a link for that one in the video info. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the Help Mines just arrived today and I needed help understanding this thing But Thank you again great Video 💯
@@KingDaeQuann95 Glad I could help!
Hey friend, thank you so much for featuring our Canoe Stabilizer Float Package, for your loyalty, business, and support. It's so appreciated. We hope you continue to enjoy your Spring Creek Canoe Stabilizer Float Package! - Your friends at SCM
Glad to do it! Great product!!
I carry in my pack Dan's Whetstone Arkansas sharpening stones.
I'll have to check them out, @SurvivalSavvvy. I've never been very good at using them, but that is a statement about my skills and not the stones. Thanks for watching and with the info!
Hardwood floors looks amazing
@@The02wooley Thanks! ….and thanks for watching!
Did you have to pull the handle to engage? Or does it deploy automatically?
@@dfro4319 This model deploys automatically. There are ones that are strictly manual, but this has auto as primary, with manual pull and manual air tube as backups.
Curious the folded up size with the pad included. Will it still fit in that bag? Considering 2 of these and transport will be in my roof cargo box.
Full transparency...I was too lazy to try. I do think it's possible, but I didn't want to fight it. It would probably be helpful to use a couple of extra straps if you do. I'm guessing that if you can wrap it tight enough, turn it upside down, and get the bag started that it will slide just fine. Guess is the keyword in that last sentence. I throw mine either in my covered bed of the truck, or in the backseat. Thanks for the question....wish I could have been more helpful. Also, Thanks for watching!
Where can I get it I stay In south Africa please?
I picked mine up from Amazon. I know some products and sites sometimes are not available in certain regions of the world, so I would do an internet search if you can't find it on Amazon. Good luck! Thanks for watching!!
@@moseyandmeander thank you very much
You are very welcome!
Thanks for the review! I just ordered the regular one but I might return it and splurge on the XXL. I'm 5 2' and weigh 285 I've got really wide hips tho
Yeah, I think you get four more inches of width, but double check that. The only potential drawback with the XXL is that it can be too big for some tents, meaning if they are a smaller footprint or have sloped sides the bed can hit. Thanks for the support and comment!
Wow! This vid is chockfull of great extra tidbits. Much appreciation!
Thanks for the nod! I'm glad it was of use, and I appreciate the support!!
How do the cot & matress fit in the bag
@@greglouis9299 The idea is to wrap the mattress tightly around the legs of the folded bed once the bed is strapped shut. I didn’t feel like fighting it, so I just put it in the back of the truck. It may not be that bad, but I just didn’t feel like bothering since I had room.
Great video. Would you recommend this being an excellent choice for a daily/nightly sleeper?
@@AmberAmbo That’s a tough ne because people have different preferences. For my taste (and size), it’s nghtly when camping or perhaps for overflow guests, but it wouldn’t be my normal bed. Hope that helps!
I just got mine and I absolutely love them. A real game changer for people who like to travel and they take up so little space.
@@GypsyRose5273 Agreed…thanks for the support and input!
Just picked up one from your affiliate link. Thanks for the suggestion. I’ve got a couple Jeeping excursions over the next couple months and this will come in handy.

use these on my canoe with a mercury motor they are great. Costly but great
Yeah, I almost let my cheap side get the best of me when I was originally looking, but I don't regret a single penny that I spent on them. Thanks for watching!
So many useful bits of information in this video!
Thank you, @gnostie! I appreciate the nod...
So I've been seeing this 500 lb weight cot on Temu. . And it works a lot like this. Curious to see if it is. Because it wouldn't be the first time a company decided to rebrand a generic Chinese manufactured product.
Yeah, I was skeptical of the 500 lbs too. If I was concerned about anything at 500 lbs it would be the fabric, but the frame feels very solid. I've seen others that looked identical on Amazon but with different names. I wouldn't be surprised if they are all manufactured at the same place and rebranded. Thanks for watching!
I just dig a hole. LOL
Same here if I'm backpacking...thanks for watching!
Big caught
Yes, it is...definitely not for backpacking.
Lock mode?
@@aliciariveros6337 i’m not for sure about a lock mode, but it is possible my country accent was garbled. There’s a demo mode and the normal functional mode. And then there are four settings: high, medium, low, and flicker mode, which means the light randomly pulses and is supposed to simulate the flickering of a candle. Hopefully I answered your question, but if not, please feel free to point me to the timestamp. Thank you!
How you pack the padding part?
It originally came shrink wrapped around the folded legs inside the bag. I'm thinking it possible to wrap it around the legs (kind of like rolling up a sleeping bag) and maybe get it back in the bag, but I didn't feel like messing with it (felt like it was too much hassle). I just fold it in half and pack it with bedding in the back seat of the truck or sometimes in the bed of the truck (with tonneau cover). I also imagine you could simply roll it like a sleeping bag or put it in a stuff sack. Hopefully, this helps. Thanks for watching!
Thanks, I was considering the smaller one, but I'm 6'4" and the same weight as you, so I think I'll get the same size. I sleep on my side, so the width should be ok. Great review, like you say, 5'2" and 110 lbs, doesn't tell me much about how the product fits men of our stature.
Awesome! Glad to hear it was helpful. Yeah, the only potential negative with the bigger one is making sure it fits your tent right. One of my tent's sides slopes a bit more, so it doesn't fit as well as I like (easily rests against the head/toe sidewall, which is not a good thing in rainy conditions). Otherwise, happy sleeping!!
This is so true! Someone who is 130-140 pounds says the cot is sturdy, but you barely sit on it and it falls to pieces, or if not, it creaks through the night as if goodness knows what is going on there.
@@gnostie So far, so good! The construction seems to be pretty sound. When I am camping where I have all the luxury I want, I throw an extra sleeping bag on the top too for additional plushness.
Great video, awesome explanation. I've been looking at this on Amazon for a while and I have to say that your video is the best one out there. Thanks for sharing. New Sub.
Thank you! I'm glad it was helpful, and I appreciate being able to contribute to our hiking/camping community.
I’m accustomed to military style cot so I don’t mind without padding.
I've done plenty of ground, car hood, air mattress, and picnic table camping...LOL....and still will when the situation calls for it, but I am starting to appreciate a touch of comfort when I am driving to the campsite.
How is the feeling without the topper? The padding seems bulky.
@prst99...I would compare it to a nice pool-side lounger. The padding on mine puffed up to 2-3" and was not stiff/firm. I liked the added cushion and the added insulation. Since the cushion is easy on/easy off, it makes it more versatile for use. My joints ache quite a bit, so I don't mind a little cushion.
