Seems like she never got the right song to taker to the top. Some of her co er songs are great but it is hard to score a hit on someone elses material. But i still like to listen to her.

The band was okay and Ruby was a great singer but the songs were just so so in my hunble opinion. I believe Ruby was close to makimg it on her own but it wasn't in the cards.

I saw Ruby at the Touchdown Club across from old Tampa Bay stadium in 81. Much smaller crowd but she still put on a show.

She beats the hell out of hacks like Janice Joplin and Tina Turner. (but I do hate this song though) 😆

Disagree if you like but Ruby was heads above Joplin. Joplin screamed everything whereas Ruby could sing using her real voice and screamed on occasion when it was required.
