Dogrel 2019/ A Hero's Death 2020/Skinty Fia 2022/ Roance 2024........I honestly can't think of a band that has released four Albums on the bounce that are so completely different from each other but yet all classic albums in their own right .........I copped on to Elton John a very long time ago ....What a man and his interest and knowledge of the music scene is quite astonishing he has all his life been checking out new music and if he heaps praise on a band you better believe the band deserve it ....... his analysis of the Fontaines Dc is spot on ..

Ok Elton. Can you look any more Liberace with your background? Lol love Fontaines and love…your early stuff :-) He really knows their catalog and he loves the Lemon Twigs too. He’s such a music nerd. Love it

Well deserved praise. The new record, Romance, is a logical progression for this band. For me, it was a bit of a surprise from Skinty Fia but it grew on me nearly instantaneously and is, so far, my favorite album of the year. Amazing production, and more of the band contributing to vocals. New songs, new instruments (Mellotron!), and new praise. Cheers, boys!

Massive battlers this band ya … they even curate their social media comments so it’s only positive (presumably the same on your tube) .. no one had heard of them till they slagged off Oasis ! Your music’s shite …. (but luckily it’s not keeping anyone up all night, cos no one knows who the f**k you are!!)

Agree completely regarding In The Modern World. Grians vocals really shine on that one and he sounds absolutely gorgeous! Witnessed it live 4 times now, gets better with every performance. He truly has found his voice on this album 💗💚
