No!! Its NOT safe traveling by train anywhere in Cape Town. I've been living in Cape Town more than 50 yrs and the amount of robberies, stabbings and throwing people off trains, No!! Cape Town is a beautiful place and many incredible eating places and quirky shops, BUT NOT BY TRAIN!! My last train trip I took my daughter from Wynberg station to Cape Town. She was about 10yrs old and I was taking her to the museum in town. On the train there were about 7 security guys and they would hop from one carriage to the next at the different stations. On pulling out of Rosebank station the one security guard for some reason wanted to see my ticket. On showing him my ticket he proceeded to want to rob me of my phone and wallet. It was at this point I drew my firearm and he immediately backed off. I hate to think what would have happened that day if I was not armed. They would probably have done what they normally do.....yes its a norm. Take away your ticket, beat you to within an inch of your life and throw you off the train. All my train experiences in cape town were bad, there was always some sh*t happening. It goes quiet for a while, and nothing happens, and then BOOOM!! sh*t hits you. My apologies if i sound negative to anyone, I am a very, very positive person, but if you want to experience Cape Town, do it from a hired vehicle and download the "Waze" app onto your phone. Its like google maps but it keeps you out of all the dodgy areas. Happy visiting🤗👍

Just curious to know whether whether we as South Africans need a multi entry visa (I know we don’t need a visa) if you go to KL from Singapore and then back to Singapore from Malaysia to go back home
