Treasure Island Beach & Pirate Tower in Laguna Beach - Tide Pools with Kids
OVERVIEW:
Treasure Island Beach is a beach with multiple coves in Laguna Beach. It is at the bottom of a the Montage Hotel, which sits on a cliff. There is public access to the beach, along with beautifully landscaped paths at the top of the cliffs along the hotel. There are multiple tide pools around the beach.
Pirate Tower is a large old castle tower embedded into the cliffside. It is just north of Victoria Beach, which is about a mile north of Treasure Island Beach. Getting to Victoria Beach involves walking down a neighborhood street. Pirate Tower is just around the corner from Victoria Beach, with tide pools to explore there as well.

How much time does it take to explore it all?
It usually takes us about 2-3 hours
We just went yesterday, brought our bag to clean up others' trash. The other PSA needed is DO NOT PARK ON THE SINGLE LANE BRIDGE, but I doubt that will be followed without LAPD presence.

My mom was baptized here. I've been to the Glass Church many times, it was one of my favorite places to visit growing up. I'm grateful for all those memories and I hope to visit again at a new location someday.

Would you mind sharing what cruise you took at Seward? Just the name and how long was the tour?
There are multiple cruises that do essentially the same thing, but we went with Major Marine Tours - majormarine.com/ . It was about a 6 hour cruise, which included lunch.

There are campsites on different parts of the river. The closest one to where this video is probably National Camp, and then Camp Williams

Yes, because it’s gotten so popular and crowded in recent years, you have to make reservations, which helps keep it from being too crowded
What apps or websites do you use for knowing the trails etc
We mostly use AllTrails to find the trails

is there shade where you can lounge around if you don’t get a cabana??
There are a few grassy areas that get a little bit of shade, but they get taken up pretty quickly. It’s often crowded with people saving their spot with towels.
