My (worst) best lap of this year trip to the Nürburgring. Luck wasn't on my side this year and the only two laps in which i hadn't encountered a yellow flag were warm up laps, so here's the "best".       Le due modifiche più importanti sono assetto KW v3 e accoppiata di scarico e mappatura che sulla GT86 sono fondamentali 😁

      @BzhStance thank you! My exhaust is hand made here in Italy by @arosmarmitte8784, my particular configuration is catless equal length headers, front pipe with a small cat, resonated cat back ✌🏻

      I know that this particular one, with all the mods, did a sub 8 minutes lap in the hands of an experienced driver. Idk about a completly stock car, brakes would hold it back quite a lot

    The car is pulling back. Battery and breaks were overheating. Also, steering is quite lively, and tires were not having the grip at the end. Very nice ride for almost a full round of the green hell. Breaks, tires, and suspension can easily be upgraded. But the battery overheating needs some serious tuning of the BMS and the heat pump.

      @@mikapeltokorpi7671 brakes were not overheating at all, no fading, no degradation of performance. Tires got a little over inflated from the temperature by the end, but it's normal starting cold as i did here. Keep in mind that the only real temperature indication on the screen is the battery one, everything else is just estimated by the car. Suspension is already upgraded to a nice set of KW coilovers. As for the battery, yes, you feel some power reduction after 60% of the lap

      @@niclime172 Ah, it was a tire pressure sensor on front passenger wheel (briefly). Those can give false readings quite easily.

    As fast as it is, I'm still going back to petrol. But I kind of enjoyed it, for what it is. If you're into EVs only, I recommend it. (did 70.000 km so far)

      Thank you! Unfortunatly I don't know how this overlay was done because Ringfreaks gave me the video already edited. But i know you can do it with Racechrono Pro and an OBD II bluetooth adapter on basically every car

    Great lap! I was just a few days ago with my LR and managed to do a few laps around the 9 minutes, which felt quite good for my first time with the Model 3 on the Nordschleife(I've been with other cars there). I got no battery over heat warning(I feel that the downside of track mode is that the battery gets preheated) but I got half way a pretty big warning regarding break temperature(expected). I have some DS2500, metal break lines and Ravenol R325 to upgrade it, so hopefully next time it's a different story.

    When you stepped on it out the gate my first thought was "Wow... the sound of that motor whine.... hopefully mine will sound like that when i get it!" Then I realized the car is gutted. Mine won't sound QUITE like that. lol Though I DID order the 2024 Model 3 Performance with the more powerful rear motor, so.... maybe? yeah, probably not.

      You can remove the rear seat (just the part you sit on, not the back rest) with just 2 clips and a few connectors. With that change alone you could hear the whine quite a lot.

      It's both, sometimes you can pick up some little rocks that other cars brought to the track and the car makes some noises (the main one being the passenger harness hitting the rollcage)

      Well track driving is demaning for the vehicle, it got a little hot just at the end, i wouldn't consider it that bad 😁 Also consider that sometimes, going really slow like in the yellow flag section it's actually worse for cooling because the airflow in the radiators is low

      @@niclime172 Mk VI with a roll cage from what I can see. VR6s weren't built anymore at that time - and they were never quick. I`d bet on some 1.8t blowup, never seen a Golf gap a M3P at low & mid speed like that.

    Great run and lines! M3LR with AB owner here, any reason why you disabled the regen? Other than initial bite feel it may actually save you 5-10% per lap. Also, I feel it cuts a bit of power when under 50% soc, is that the case with yours?

      @gonzorvf thank you! They explained to me that regen is deactivated to have better brakes control and to not have the car slow down by itself when lifting the "gas" pedal. Yes you can feel the power decrease depending on soc and temperature

      LRAB Ring driver here too. Turning regen off also gives you longer battery life before overheating the pack. Use scanmytesla to check pack temp, your power cuts maybe due to a hot battery. Regen ON usually means "yellow battery" at 'Hohe Acht' the latest.

      @@niclime172 Yeah, MUCH better brake control. More predictable to slow down, rather than taking your foot off the accelerator, car starts slowing down, hit the brakes to slow down faster, take your foot off the brake pedal, car continues to slow down quite rapidly, step on the accelerator.

      L'assetto è il KW V3, ma quest'anno l'ho regolato meglio e ho usato angoli più aggressivi. Il motore è stock, ha solo scarico e mappa che sono obbligatori sulla 86

      For the Nurburgring this BMW is better, the setup is fantastic and the engine torque is very handy on the slopes 😆 I would love to have a second GT86 to modify this much 😂

      The GT86 is definitely more fun, you can't beat the classic sports car layout. But the Telsa surprised me, it's much better than i thought, quite precise and even a little bit playful

      I think the problem with the engine in this car is that it has all the power at the very top of the rev range, so extracting it is not super easy when you first start to drive it. Also from the factory the torque curve is not very good and right in the midrange it actually feels slow, mine has been ecu tuned to remove that torque dip. But yeah it's not as slow as people say 😁

      C'è sempre un personaggio strano ad ogni giro 😂 I controlli sono completamente disattivati, la lucina lampeggia comunque sulla 86 quando la centralina rileva anche il minimo slittamento di una ruota o se l'angolo di imbardata supera un valore minimo; in ogni caso non interviene, non so perchè hanno fatto questa scelta

      Hi! Thanks 💪 My cooling setup is Koyorad water radiator, 82°c Sard thermostat, Subaru OEM oil heat exchanger (the one you find on the WRX/GR86). Oil is Liqui Moly Synthoil 5w40. Oil temp goes to 120°c max (usually lower) and oli pressure is stable at 4.5/5 bars from 4500rpms to the limiter

      @@cayman9815 with the OEM radiator the oil heat exchanger cannot operate at its full potential and in some occasions (high engine loads at low speeds) the oil can still pass 130°. For the Nurburgring the OEM it's fine
