With the playcallers, and depleted WR depth chart, i don't think ANY quarterback could be successful. We need strong runs to keep the D off balance and WAY LESS screens to the WR.

Outside of Tatum, the running backs are average at best. The loss of the top 5 receivers was devastating. The quarterback cannot do it all by himself. The receivers have to get open or there is no passing game! A one dimensional team is easier to defense!

5-star Babalola is "Warmer" on Michigan, Stanford, and Auburn. He is "Warm" on OU. That's not unusual. What is unusual is the number of offensive tackles already on each team. Michigan 11, Stanford 12, Auburn 14. Oklahoma has 7!!! We have only half as many as Auburn. We can expect that in every game, our offensive line will wear down in the trenches. We need to recruit 6-8 new offensive tackles, plus replace any we lose after this season, JUST TO BE COMPETITIVE! Off-season, numerous articles pointed out the weakness in the OL. The OU ship sailed into the new season, in the tougher SEC, still dragging that same anchor. OU will probably lose to every Top-25 ranked opponent they play in the SEC this year. It may take three years to become a challenger for the playoffs, IF everything happens as we hope it will in the recruiting and maturing cycles.

We never had to worry about O line until this year. Bill Bedenbaugh has gotten lazy. Bill Bedenbaugh has not developed a recruit out of high school since 2021. He has painted over his bad development the last few years with transfers and now the transfers are not paying off. If Bill Bedenbaugh has to constantly pull transfers cause they are a bit more developed and he don’t have to develop them. Dude has gotten stale.

How could we do any worse sure they win games but isn’t the goal to win super bowls or even get there well it’s been what 29 years now and we’ve not even sniffed it , he overpays the wrong guys at the wrong time and won’t pay the right guys at the right time , he bargain basement shops every year and it’s worthless , he drafts injured players with hopes to get them on the cheap to be what they were and it fails , we’ve passed on so many great players to get busts , even with good drafts we still miss to much . He locks on to the wrong players to long and won’t make any good trades and has let good players go , we’ve had the pieces many times only to fail , right now is let Dak play out this season make him earn that dam big check and test him in the playoffs one more time , the QB is and can be the diffence maker look at Brady and Mahomes , Dak can’t get it done when it’s time to !
