Sooo for $139 I can attend a 5-hour long "conference" with yet-unknown agenda? No, thanks. To me this looks like a Diligent promotion afternoon for which I would even have to pay a quite high price. Maybe $20-30 would be okay. I believe having a clear agenda is the step one for publishing a professional conference, as the currently "we are not sure about the agenda, but hey, come and pay the ticket already!" message is obnoxious.

Yep that’s pretty accurate. I just finished a hackathon that went on for 10 hours straight and I couldn’t get the stupid software to run properly so I was basically sitting there pretending to work the whole time. I learned nothing that day and the only positive thing that came out of the whole experience was seeing myself on the news in the background while playing videos on my computer pretending to work.

This lecture is a too shallow for me. It only touch the more obvious points and not really presents a solution Tm for the problem. It focus to much on “not replicating the production aspect”, instead for showing use cases or tools to overcome the more common issues.
