Awesome work! I did this s few years ago while traveling for work in Italy. Those 0000 and 0400 runs alone while the city slept tested my dedication. Well done. I'd love to visit South Africa some day!

I went to the Museum in 2011 during the week, only saw the small hanger ( minus the missing Mirage) next to the cafeteria, nobody mentioned this big hanger or saw any signs indicating that it existed. A Sergeant told me that it was out of bounds to go further into the base as Ghaddafi in Libya was under USA attack and strange things were going on at the base. I was disappointed as I was stationed at Watertkloof and marched here in a colors parade when John Vorster was a guest. I wish I could remember the year, either 79 or 80.

I was there for a sunset in 2018. It was very beautiful. But the hike should not be underrated. We saw tourists with very bad shoes and without lights there. It's quiet slippery because of the many climbers are the stones without grip.

Must be around fifteen years ago but we were fortunate to see the Avro Shackleton Mk3 flying, It’s a great collection thanks for this update.
