I have a GS right now and he is a perfect dog. I have always been around dogs like coon hounds and they are smart for what they do. But this shepherd is everything you are saying. He won't even let my wife hug me in front of him. So very loyal and protective. Love them
I've had 3 Shepherds , they were wonderful loving members of our family ❤
