The magnet has a different field per side. One side pushes the magnetic particles away (on mine the circle end) and then the square side pulls or attracts the particles to the magnet. And if u use the sides of the square that like twists and gives different effect. I didn’t know how to do it either until my father (of all people ) explained why my magnet gadget seemed to be not only working for me. But it worked to everyone in videos hahaha. Also, be in a well lit area and do 2- 3 coats for cat eye plus 1-2 coats of your BaSE COAT( darker the better) for optimal results. I practiced on a dummy finger nail to get the hang of it and it really helped! Best of luck!
