The Farmers Lab initiative is a collaboration between three entrepreneurs with the desire to help improve the agricultural industry by offering capacity-building to farmers about best farm management practices, access to markets & finance, technology, value chain, industrialization and encourage collaboration of all key stakeholders within the agricultural value chain. This initiative will target different sub sectors within the agricultural sector such as livestock production and grain production, horticulture and aspiring young farmers. This is done through bringing in various experts to educate the farmers.
Chef Cathy, an international award-winning recipe book author "Life On A Salad"
Our guests’ story today on The Farmers Lab is Chef Cathy, an international award-winning recipe book author "Life On A Salad", a recipe book that promotes healthy eating and appreciation of locally grown, delicious food.
After chef Cathy realised that people do not like salads, She wrote this recipe book to promote salads, and for people to understand the importance of salads. Life on a salad promotes Batswana to buy local traditional homegrown foods and shows different ways of preparing this food, how Batswana can cook sorghum (mosuthwane ) and gives a different taste than normal.
