I have the same loader, a 2019, and the same bucket with grapple. I love it.
Good place to find parts?
Late 60s. Didn't look too bad. Good engines. 👍
Do you have messenger? I’d like to talk feeding program. From Louisiana
My dad did a hobbyist quality rebuilt/restored model like this. I used to LOVE to go start it out behind the garage. So much fun..sounded so good. When we moved it to a relatives property I got to drive it 25 miles or so on dirt roads. I know my Dad wanted to do it. But he followed in the pickup and let 14 year old me have all the fun.. Great Dad, tractor, and memories...
Balancer
We found 2 5115ms within 25 miles of home base We handle about 175 to 200 acres of Titon 44 Bermuda..... Our First cutter was a Kuhn 320 but it was belt driven and if crowded slip......... Sold It and bought 3 Krone Easy-cut 320s mounted them on KMC carts......The 6145R and the 2 5115s are Greenstar guidance equipped..... That makes Haying Enjoyable...........
How is that crabgrass working out for you?
I’ve got 5000+ bales on my 605N. So far so good.
That happened to me and it was because the alternator was over charging changed the alternator and never had an issue again I thought it was weird that it was saying low voltage but it fixed it
Thank very much for your video. Could you please share your experience how to calculation feed for fatting beef.
Only advantage the 4555 will have is higher ground clearance if you are bailing large swaths. The 5100 will be a fine bailing rig.
ruclips.net/user/shortsJc4pLi-eJyU?feature=share
That's not a "hobby" tractor. That's a substantial investment.
does the 4555 really need all that weight on the front pulling that baler? ;-)
What ration do you start your calves on after weaning and before you go to the finishing stage
They get started on a similar ration. It is higher in protein (14%) and high in crude fiber to help with bloat and acidosis. Corn, DDG, soy hull pellets.
What is the ration do you feed before you
It’s a similar ration. It’s about 14% CP. corn and distillers mix. Does not have the higher fiber content that the finishing ration has or the other supplements.
@@hobbyranching3468 Appreciate you reaching back to me
Thanks for the info on spraying What ration do you feed before you go to your finishing ration and what percentage per head

That 7130 is a great looking tractor
Beast of an engine. Nice.
Looks good Do you notice a increase in yield of hay on fields that you spread manure on?

What size are your tires
What size ranger is this in the Video and does it run at all
It’s a 2013 800. Yes it does run. Has over 8000 miles. The tires have about 4000 miles and are about half tread.
Sorry I meant rub not run and do you have it lifted at all or is it stock
@@willwhite3999 it’s stock and they don’t rub. You could run a 28” tire and not rub.
@@hobbyranching3468 okay thanks do you still love them
@@willwhite3999 I will likely put some on our 2020 ranger when the time comes. I think they are hard to beat for the price.
Been down those roads a time or two. Enjoy the videos, keep up the good work!
How many acres is that feed lot?
It’s not very big. Maybe 1-2 acres.
My face hurts from smiling. I’ve been to Moab twice but never on the slick rock in a SxS. Looks like so much fun. Thanks for sharing.
I have so much respect for agriculturists. I can’t imagine how much time and patience this takes 🌾
How do you like your 317G? I’m looking at one of those and a 333G. Are you happy with it or do you wish you would have went with a larger machine?
It’s hard to say as we have only put a few hours on it so far. It’s done everything we have wanted it to. We wanted a smaller frame machine in order to get into tight spots easier.
I have the large frame 331G. It depends on what you're wanting to do with it. Some attachments require a high flow hydraulics that the 317G doesn't have, The 331G is around 8 HP less and the hydraulics is 36 gpm vs. 41 gpm @ high flow. That 5 gpm is enough of a difference to limit the choices in attachments.
Get a 325
How do you like it vs the jd
Makes a much nicer bale. More dense and uniform. Kinda hard to say. Went from a 20 yr old baler to a brand new one. Of course the new one is better. I wish we would have demo’d a new JD and then I’d have something to compare to.
That JD 5100 with no problem pull the baler.
Great to see you making video's again! Really enjoy watching them thanks for all your efforts in making them!
What do you have running the baler? Is it a 40 series?
1992 JD 4555
Pregnant heifers and grain feed= very big calves, I learned that the hard way!!2 dead heifers and two dead calves 👎🏻👎🏻
Watching this video makes me anxious to get back in the hayfield ourselves. If you get a chance, check out our family’s new channel. We are really excited to see where it goes! ruclips.net/channel/UC8ABpXW_q4Sgki7z9Xz5k2w
Where and how did you find packers to sell to?
A neighbor of mine has done it for years and thats how I got in touch with Creekstone Farms in Ark City Kansas.
Have you all tried any hayledge with this baler I’m wanting to roll up wheatledge
No. We don’t do any hayledge. And this isn’t a silage special version.
Great video, I’m thinking about trying this next spring. Question, do you mix the seeds with the fertilizer to make it easier to spread? I heard it’s a small seed? Thanks. How did it turn out? Are you happy with it?
We are actually getting out of crabgrass. It’s hard to manage. Can’t hardly keep weeds out of it because 2-4d hurts the crabgrass. Other grasses that germinate early cause a lot of competition. Plus it’s very hard to get to dry down. We have had maybe one good year with it out of 10. Only time I’d do crabgrass is if I was going to graze it.
We did spread it with the fertilizer and it seemed to work out well. We had to spread on a 25’ width rather than the normal full 50’.
Thanks, for the feedback. I’m strictly thinking about grazing it.
I get along very good with soybeans and crabgrass and don't even worry about weeds,,Even let millet just grow. Makes tons of late season hay
Would you prefer quad shift or powershift on the 4555 running the hay baler
Our current 4555 is a quad shift. I do think a power shift might be better for baling.
running the rpm kinda slow arent you?
Nalley Hay Farms the tractor is 1000 PTO and the baler is 540. So we run the tractor at about 1250RPM to get 540 on the PTO. That’s why the tractor is barely turning.
@@hobbyranching3468 okay yeah that makes sense
Good to see you still rolling.....Inconsistant weather and short windows dented our production but the 2 cuttings was abou600 bales ea on 100 acres.....
Sure is a good looking setup! Vermeer makes a good looking bale
100 horse... that’s why it’s a 5100...
Do you square bale any of that for horses?
Mark Choate we do square bale a couple hundred a year. Not much.
