In 1959, a failed Hollywood model named Delores Mary Rose drove there, where she slashed her wrists and rolled her car over a 500-foot cliff. Her story is incredibly haunting to me, and as I watch this footage, I find myself wondering where this awful event happened. All these years later, I just hope she's at peace.

Beautiful fun drive. Rented a new Range Rover Velar a few weeks ago when I was visiting & took it up the coast & then into the hills. Hwy 23, Kanan Rd & Topanga Canyon. The Rover handled like on rails! I'll miss those fun drives more than anything about California. Malibu area is beautiful.
