Listen carefully to the throttle up in the distinct Airbus stages from IDLE to CLB to FLEX and to TOGA. Also listen to the double throttle down from TOGA to CLB. We were fully loaded for this morning flight to Calgary. Information: Airline: Air Canada Flight: AC317 Date: February 28th, 2021 Seat: 14F Aircraft: Airbus A321-200 | C-FGKN
OMG listen to those RR engines and fast rotation! That is truly an aviation geeks "wet" dream lol

Do people fly on planes on round trips just to do it??
Oh absolutely! That or building a flight itinerary that prioritizes airplanes over time.
@@lightblueyonder dang how accessible is it to do? Never been on a plane never had a reason to but I’ve recently found an interest in planes.
❤
Rare 15R departure too
Epic flight
Nothing like and old school 757 powefull takeoff. Boeing's biggest mistake not continuing production and making a new generation version of it. Thanks for this posting.
I agree with you 💯. What a big, fat, mistake.😢
Instead, Boeing chose the 737 Max FIASCO ! The 737 needs to go away already !
Not at full power
On the contrary, if you noticed the runway is contaminated (raining), which means the TOGA thrust is very likely being used, not a de-rated thrust setting.
@@mylesfields466 It is a 40min flight, of course it is not full power even if it is raining.
@rkan2 the duration of the flight has nothing to do with the thrust setting during the takeoff phase. What I'm referring to is a required SOP for the majority of US operators during inclement weather/contaminated runways.
@@mylesfields466 No, not the duration of the flight, but the takeoff weight certainly has a lot to do with thrust settings. Newark has plenty of runway to do a derated takeoff and still have time to stop on a 757, even when loaded and with a wet runway.
@@mylesfields466 Understandable that TOGA would be used with a contaminated runway, however that would make the thrust reduction to CLB thrust very noticeable, and on this video you can hardly identify when the aircraft goes into climb thrust. Thus I also believe that it's a heavily derated takeoff (probably close to CLB thrust).
Really nice climb out and break through of the clouds!

Holy crap that was a super short takeoff roll lol
Newark, NJ is a short 45 min/1 hour flight, not much fuel loaded adding to weight.
What a thick cloud layer!! 😅😅
RB-211 never fails to disappoint. Nice video 👍
Can’t wait all old air Canada airbus a321 211 retire and be scrapped by 2025!
Hate to break it to ya but the 211 isn’t gonna be gone by 2025. Between mainline and rouge they have 29 to “scrap” by then. The rouge ones are all practically brand new and the oldest mainline one even at that point will only be 25 years old which is a premature retirement for an A321.
The old cfm56-5a engine garbage! Replaced by! Brand new! Air Canada Airbus a321neo! Pw1100g engine! Yayyyyy! Can’t wait get order 2024!
These don’t have -5A engines, they have -5B engines and they are not garbage. They are far more reliable and always will have a better hours between overhaul record than the new engines will.
