Historic, Successful, and… weird. Let’s summarize and celebrate Peugeot’s history at Le Mans and in the WSCC/WEC. Though their modern road cars are tremendously average, Peugeot has been a mainstay among racing and racing culture for over a century. In this video I wanted to highlight Peugeot's daringness in sports car endurance racing specifically by showcasing their main players: The 905, 908...

Fuji 6H Recap (And What We Learned About Porsche)

I wanted a make a Fuji recap video of my own to discuss Porsche's strengths and weaknesses that a few of the Porsche Penske drivers have revealed. It seems like Porsche really does do a lot better when race conditions don't vary as much throughout the weekend. We'll talk about how track temps affect tire degradation and etc. Of course, we'll also summarize the winning teams and how they stand g...

Awesome video
Legends? Are you kidding? We’re talking about a make that has La Sarthe as it’s home ground. And still the Germans go 1940 on their asses.
The design of the 905 is something else... timeless
i grew up in Australia in the 1960,s,, i as a kid thought french cars were for old men with mustaches, checked coats and brown shoes. in the mid 1980,s le mans was on tv in Australia and i thought i was hearing things when the guy on the tv said the peugeot was winning the race.. it took me 15 years to find they made fine cars and today i still drive my 3rd 505gti 2.2 station wagon and its slow and thrilling. wow,, we live and learn,, its as exciting to be the slowest car off the lights as it is to drive my 383ci camaro at the local drag strip.
"Jaguah"
And not “jag-war”, you got it buddy.
Hey what's that song at 1:24.
will no not yet they have only realized there dream three times and thank god they haven't experience tragedy like Mercedes in 1955. for those of You who don't known what i'm talking about in 1955 le mans was dubbed WW2 on the track Jaguar and Mercedes two WW2 war horses go head too head with disasters consequences. Mike Hawthorne made dash for the pit's. Macklin's had too take avoiding action to avoid hitting Hawthorne's D type and went right into the path of Pierre Levy Mercedes. Levy did not swerve out the way Haley 3000 because of a slight Bend in the truck just before the pit's and the mean grandstand. Levy went up the sloped back is Haley and about 14 feet in the air hit a grass verge his car disintegrated burst into flames. the front wheel assembly and some of the engine and other parts went into the crowd killing 80 to 120 injury at least 80. at least 15 of those people where decapitated most of hume where children. that being said it's the greatest motorsport tragedy. but WW2 WW1 were the biggest tragedies the world has ever seen. WW1 WW2 brought death destruction disease famine the cold war war in the ture since of the word. but one big safety innovation from the biggest motorsport disaster is the Fitch rear inertia safety barrier.
I really love the GT300 apr Prius GT and i’m glad that people are still talking about the history it made. Not to forget the chaos that happened during those “All Drivers Appearance” videos.
Been listening to this a good bit, great stuff 👌
ridge racer 8 must have lots of these
🏎💨💨💨
genuinely my favorite series on youtube - keep up the great work!
really loved the video but i don't think the SF70H, Rebull (not renault) RB7 and R18 are obnoxious racecars they were racing in the top endurance class and the top class overall, so i doubt anyone would consider them to be obnoxious, especially when the blown diffuser is so famous for its sound
Can I say Yorm Kippoor?
I didn't know you were making bangers...
i need the full album drop now
But the real question…Is that an Aston Martin Vulcan at :09?
I sampled Bozzy
Nice! 👍
Part 2 with Mustang GTD and 992 Rennsport. Please)
apr & Toyota still continues on their Hybrid GT300 program with the LC500h GT which directly replaces the Prius GT. The Prius GT wasn't the only Hybrid GT300 back then with the Honda CR-Z GT being the other one (powered by a 2.8L V6 from HPD's LMP2 car)
Dude just chose a car that was cheating in f1
It wasn't the only hybrid car in Super GT. Roughly the same time. Honda had one with the CRZ, hybrid like the Toyota with the engine from the Acura/Honda P2 engine in the back. It did win the GT300 championship in 2013 (the same category as the Prius was in). I had the lucky chance to see both the Honda and the Prius back at Fuji in 2014
Toyota should make a homologation of that Prius and name it the Prius X, with a normal RC F engine and a 4 wheel drive hybrid system
Lol, I always thought the Prius Racecar was just a joke by the Gran Turismo devs. Hybrid systems gave birth to some interesting racecars, although I am kinda disappointed with the implementation in the Hypercar/LMDh class. Whilst I prefer the current variety over what was basically the Toyota-class, the "economy booster" hybrid systems just aren't as impressive to watch as the "extra power and AWD"-hybrids of the LMP1h era
Very glad to see the Prius gt300 get some love
What is the song that comes in at 6:04?
I composed it! (other hobby). Its called "VULCAN", I could upload it somewhere if you'd like to listen to the full.
@@yorm1100% Would love to hear the full of that. If you do upload it, do send over a link if you could. Great video series by the way, I've been following it since the first Episode.
@@MatthewRunyon-n4g Uploaded to the channel!
Always found those Prius GT300 sick! Damn!!
Very professional and informative channel.
The Audi LMP cars only confirm 1.9 TDI supremacy
Dude I honestly love your videos. So glad you included the prius in this one!!💪
Hybrids have a place in high spec, but they tend to struggle in lower power applications in motorsports. I'm surprised a prius won SGT at all tbh.
Your vids are something else man! Keep it up!
The rise of channels like you and content on other Motorsports series is a genuine welcoming effect ! Keep up the good work
And to think that the 3.4 liter V8 in the original Prius GT was based off of the 2.65 CART/IndyCar engine from the early 2000s.
Small thing of note (and i know it's nitpicking) but the open top Aston Martin LMP1 that was mentioned was powered by a Inline 6 powerplant and holy fuck it was unreliable
The Aston Martin could be summarized as "everything about it was so awful that just about everything that dared use even a part of it was forever cursed to have trouble in some way"
@@K9RacingAndStuff *insert Lauda's "It's a shotbox" gif here* It did eventually born the last Pescarolo and the Deltawing from its chassis's
@@AlexandervanderDander and oh boy were both the Pescarolo 03 and The Deltawing DWC12 (particularly the 2013 one) cursed (though I'd blame both on the engines both went for)
Good catch. Yeah, seriously. They've set a low bar for the Valkyrie LMH next year
@@yorm1 if that one's gonna happend ever. Hasnt that one been announced and cancelled for le mans competition like 3 times before already?
Hey dude, big fan of the content, a small critique, maybe play around with your cadence and tone it'll help with engagement. I genuinely look forward to these.
i agree, he has some akward moment when it comes to reading his script. It is weird but when you voice videos most of the time you need to put up a voice you don't really speak with. It is tough but much better for the content.
u sure its not an ai voice??
AI voice... shame :/
@@yhelloh I don't think it's ai tho
No ai, you can hear me breathing in some parts of the script!
great explaination of kers!

Babe wake up YORM dropped
"Racing" should just throw out the rulebooks every 10 years and start again. 4 tires, displacement limits and minimums. minimum dry weight, and minimum and maximum wet weight ............... then let the engineers do their thing.
OMATASEEEE
There also is the Porsche 911 GT3 R Rennsport
Video game footage spliced in 😂
Would love to see some of Porsches wizardry. The 919 evo is a masterpiece
Agreed. I cover it Episode 1 of the Obnoxious Race Cars series. Along with the W11 and the Suzuki Escudo
I miss the 488. The 296 is so boring.
Great video, i always wondered what would happen if you took the restrictions out of GT3 class
subscribed off this one, and i doubt I'll be disappointed
I think one of the coolest examples of unregulated cars is what porsche did with the 919 evo. That thing absolutely obliterated every track and record they threw it on, all because they decided to see what'd happen without the pesky rules of lmp1.
Agreed. I talk about it in episode 1 of obnoxious race cars, about 4 videos ago!
That Bentley shot: too soon.
