I visited Berlin for 3-days in December of 1990. There was no restrictions and I walked everywhere to see all the major sights. I was a great experience. I hope to return in the future.

I remember when the Wall was opened up. I never thought i would see that happen. I have a little piece of the Berlin Wall. They were selling them at K Mart.

So many memories. We were there when my dad was stationed there. 😊

At 7:30 in this video is the Imbiss Stand where I walked almost every day and bought Capri-Sonne trinken und Calypso Fizz push pops. This video is amazing and I appreciate you so much for putting it up. If this was you as a child, chances are we were in the same class at school. I miss all the Volks Marches and riding sleds all winter down Chapel Hill. Crazy that this was almost 40 years ago...

Been in Berlin since 1974. Worked for brits in NAAFI 10 years. Then 1984 to 1991 lived in the west but worked in the east commuting daily. Very interesting years. Now retired and still in berlin

I was 10 months old when they pulled down the wall. Joegoslavia war, Cold war and Yasser Arafat, Palestina and Israel was the first thing I can remember to watch on the news back then. Way too young to understand. These happenings are all remnants and devastating consequences of WW2, well over 4 decades later.

The Russian guards foot and rifle drill was so much more impressive than that of the brits, I think most will agree.
