    Pivoting with the market is a really great point to grasp, especially with things changing so quickly, while at the same time understanding the industry enough to have the discernment to know that some things may just be a 'trend'.

    Funny enough I made a joke comment on a local Boston brand page reel on IG that had about 1500 likes and I had one bride reach out from that.

  • @sublimeexposuresfilms
    @sublimeexposuresfilms 9 месяцев назад

    We have the opposite experience about the Father Speech not being relatable! At least for our demographic. We've had several brides mentions specifically that they love seeing the fathers in the films and they hope their dad shows some emotions in a similar way. Also, if you watch television weddings, it's those little moments between parents and son/daughter that they specifically script to give us an emotional impact (but don't ask me, I cried at The Big Bang Theory wedding episode). But that's the beauty of growing our brand in the way that best suits us! I still aspire to be on an inspo board, but we were all born and the message of a parent is universally relatable in my experience.

    What an good Q&A! As a wedding videographer that is not inserted in the US market, I am genuinely curious about what you were trying to say @1:02:25 about honeybook 😅 Could you please elaborate?

    • @thelevelupco
      @thelevelupco 10 месяцев назад

      Many planners feel that Honeybook is a very budget or entry level market CRM, and they don't tend to like it when their creative partners are using it. It's clunky and not very streamlined for them to use.

    •  10 месяцев назад

      @@thelevelupco That's very interesting to know! I had no idea. Thank you for answering my question so swiftly! I am wondering, what CRM do you recommend using that planners tend to prefer?

    Loved this! But the only thing that you guys didn’t speak on vs other people are where you guys are located/where you guys mainly shoot. Depending on where you live/shoot prices can differ drastically so I wonder if you guys are in a bigger city or if you guys are shooting a lot of destination weddings. Me personally I have to travel about an hour and a half to the nearest large city for pretty much all of my weddings because everything locally are small barn weddings with a very small budget so I’m curious to where you guys are charging $16,000. Thanks for this and looking forward to more content🙌🏾

I still get creative and artistic when it comes to my wedding films, but the business should not be artistic. It is transactional and in my opinion, life is so much easier when the creative is separate from the business. Thanks for a great episode!
