Just as you also wrote yourself, different size, different gobo size, different mount, and adaptation to more powerful lights (up to 300W) besides, VSA has been out of production for some time now (replaced by BLP/BFP series). The functionality and application itself is similar. Unfortunately, in order to conduct the test you suggested we would have to have the VSA on hand, and unfortunately we don't have them, so we are unable to compare the 60W light from MLP vs 60W from VSA. As soon as BLP comes back in stock we will be happy to do such a test :)

I managed to purchase the Godox VSA36 unit from one of European resellers in time for Christmas, and after a few days of testing, I must say it’s a really nice spotlight, especially when used with native Godox lights like the VL series. I’m looking forward to seeing in my equipment a smaller Godox light and projection unit combo in the near future! :)

Regarding compatibility, yes, the flash is compatible and supporting shutter speeds up to 1/80,000 seconds and offering TTL functionality with global shutter cameras like A9 III. We will be able to say more when the first test pieces reach us and we can test them ourselves :)

The VSA was definitely heavier, but could be paired with LED lights up to 300W. An improved and a bit lighter version was the BLP/BFP. In contrast, this system is definitely more compact and, of course, modular. We are happy to offer many solutions and any one of them will definitely fit the requirements 😎

Hi, according to the videos Godox Global made it looks like it will be compatible. We haven't had a chance to test it yet as we are still waiting for the AD200Pro II models to arrive.

The Bi-Color version has a variable color temperature (it can be adjusted between 2800-6500) while the D version is daylight and has a fixed temperature of 5600K.

Whether you mean the Sony A1 or the Sony A7II, the current generation of Sony cameras should be compatible with the MF12-DK1 kit, just remember the correct lens diameter.

Yes, it should work with Sony A6000 series cameras. Just remember to have a lens (filter diameter from the range 48-77 mm) compatible with the rings from MF12-DK1

@@GodoxEU I have it. I have both old and new. The new has an extra connector that has 3 pins so the new head will not physically fit in the old unit or EC200 but the old heads work fine.

@@ronelonepangan7329 MAM!!!! The older heads fit because they don't have this new 3 pin connector in the middle. But the heads don't fit on the old AD200 because of this new connector. New rectangular head has a fan and a bunch of bi-color LEDs so it needs extra cooling thus that 3 connector. Also new rectangular head is slightly larger so the barn doors kit doesn't fit either.

@@GodoxEU I figured this out. It is easy to get in trouble if you insert the adapter ring without attaching the lens. If the lens is attached it is not hard to put enough torque on it to twist the lens + adapter to get it to pop out of the pressure fitting. If you don't have the lens attached it is possible to push the adapter ring out by pushing on it with your fingers from the other side of the far side of the ring. @@GodoxEU Actually I do not use phone often for such purposes, or I'd rather say not often enough to buy dedicated device which only good for phone. But I've found that I can use trrs to usb c cable and it seems to work

Yes, it will be as compatible as possible in terms of control, but new features such as color-coded groups and 1-click pairing will only be available with the AD600ProII and future flashes.
