So don’t celebrate Hanukkah but “merry Christmas “? lol Christmas is pagan, it’s just another name for Yule and the winter solstice, it has nothing to do with Jesus being born not to mention biblically we should be happy and thankful year round for the birth of Jesus. There is no biblical law to support Christmas, Easter etc. they’re all pagan made by the catholic church to get support from their converts. Smh 🤦‍♀️

Why has God predestined most people to not believe the gospel and go the broad path to destruction? I hear this question all the time and it seems like a fair question. Does God make people who are born dead to Him, and make sure the gospel stays foolishness to them, so they go to hell?

So, today I cried during the Lord's supper for a different reason. A joyful cry. All along, maybe because of my Catholic upbringing, not sure, I had been not only confessing my sins but also feeling sorrow for what Jesus went through the cross for me. Basically, reliving what Jesus went through in my heart and mind every time. But just today, thanks to Pastor Dan's sermon, I experienced Joy and also remembering there is now no condemnation for those of us who are in Christ Jesus. ❤ Hallelujah! My heart was so filled ❤ and I just couldn't stop my tears. And although I knew this, I never really thought about that during the Lord's supper, just about His crucifixion and what He went through. Praise Him!!!!

It's arguable that some of the "Apocrypha" should be counted as canon and not just as "Apocrypha." If you go back to the oldest Christian lists of biblical books like the Muratorian Canon from the 2nd century, they typically include some books in the "Apocrypha" as canon. The New Testament quotes from the Greek Septuagint version of the Old Testament about as often as it quotes from the Hebrew version, as when Jesus refers to the Abomination of Desolation in the "Holy Place", which matches Daniel 9 in the Septuagint, not the Hebrew Masoretic. The Septuagint version of the Bible, like the Septuagint version of Daniel, include texts found in the "Apocrypha", like the story of Susannah. The NT at times also alludes to places in the Apocrypha, like how Jesus' debate with the pharisees about the afterlife of the 7 husbands of the woman who died references the 7 husbands in the story of Tobit. I have spent the last couple years learning about the Apocrypha in order to better my knowledge of the Bible, so I'm familiar with the arguments that Pastor Sardinas, the narrator makes. I don't have a strong opinion myself on the issue, but the fact that the early Christians counted some of the Apocrypha as canon and treated the Septuagint Old Testament as legitimate should be pretty weighty. As for the narrator's points, the issue is still debatable. So for instance, he asserts at 0:29 that at the end of the Old Testament period (like with Malachi), God did not give any prophetic word until the New Testament. This premise would imply that therefore we should not count the Apocrypha's books as Scripture. But there are two issues here. First, how do you know that none of those texts were written after Malachi or the closing of the Old Testament prophetic period? Since some of those texts like the Davidic Psalm 151 and Tobit were found in the Dead Sea Scrolls and concern the Old Testament period, it seems hard to automatically make that conclusion. Second, how do you know as fact that there was Zero prophecy or inspiration between Malachi and the NT? Neither the Protestant Old Testament books nor the New Testament ever specify that there no inspiration in that period. The narrator makes generalizations about the Apocrypha's texts that don't apply to every one of them. So for instance he says that the Apocrypha's books go against the rest of the Bible. However Psalm 151 is a summary of David's young years and doesn't go against the Bible, and Luther's commentary on Susannah, which Luther considered Apocrypha, said that he didn't find any problems in that story. In any case, even if we make the conclusion that the Apocrypha is not in the canon, it still makes sense to read it even from a Protestant perspective, as Pastor Sardinas says at 3:22. Luther, the Calvinists at Geneva, and the King James Bible all included an Apocrypha section in their Bibles, and Luther made a commentary on some of those books. They are part of the Christian traditions that give us a better idea about the canon of the Bible even if they aren't in the canon.

I know we are one people in Christ, but do you believe that GOD made an eternal covenant with Abraham concerning the Nation of Israel and that it will be consummated when Christ reigns from Mt. Zion? The remnant of His elect will look upon Him whom they pierced and repent and accept Christ as their Messiah.

    • @nwbcbradenton

Hi Mary! Thanks for your comment and always for watching. Paul explains this further in Galatians 3:7-9. The Jews and Gentiles are not only one people but they also share in the same covenant. The New Covenant, or the gospel, is the eternal covenant that God promised to Abraham as Paul explains in this passage. God's people were pictured as an ethnic people in the Old Covenant, but the New Covenant is the substance of that shadow showing us the true fulfillment. That Christ came to save both Jews and Gentiles. Paul goes on to say in Romans 9:6-8 that being born an ethnic Jew doesn't make one a child of the promise... because only faith in Christ can do that. The covenant will not be ratified when Jesus returns as the New Covenant was instituted but his death and resurrection. Will there be a mass conversion of ethnic Jews? There is some debate about that interpretation but either way all who put their faith in Christ will be saved. Hope that helps! Dan

Hey, if you still hold this position I'd like to recommend that you remake this video. The quote you mentioned, "I am the law of Moses," is actually not taken from the book of mormon at all. It is close to something from the book of mormon, but it's not the same, and it was not taken from there. It would be good for you to read about that brother, to read what Dallas Jenkins actually said to make sure that you are properly critiquing these things. I'm still wrestling with whether or not this ultimately is a violation of the second commandment, but I think it's really important that we critique accurately, especially when Dallas has admitted that he is taking artistic license. It's important that we critique correctly so that we do not appear to be misrepresenting him.

New Covenant Whole Gospel: Who is now the King of Israel in John 1:49? Is the King of Israel now the Head of the Church, and are we His Body? Why did God allow the Romans to destroy the Old Covenant temple and the Old Covenant city, about 40 years after His Son fulfilled the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34 in blood at Calvary? What the modern Church needs is a New Covenant Revival (Heb. 9:10) in which members of various denominations are willing to re-examine everything they believe and see if it agrees with the Bible, instead of the traditions of men. We need to be like the Bereans. It will be a battle between our flesh and the Holy Spirit. It will not be easy. If you get mad and upset when someone challenges your man-made Bible doctrines, that is your flesh resisting the truth found in God's Word. Nobody can completely understand the Bible unless they understand the relationship between the Old Covenant given to Moses at Mount Sinai and the New Covenant fulfilled in blood at Calvary. What brings all local churches together into one Body under the blood of Christ? The answer is found below. Let us now share the Old Testament Gospel found below with the whole world. On the road to Emmaus He said the Old Testament is about Him. He is the very Word of God in John 1:1, 14. Awaken Church to this truth. Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Jer 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by husband unto them, saith the LORD: Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. Is the most important genealogy in the Bible found in Matthew 1:1 (Gal. 3:16)? Is God's Son the ultimate fulfillment of Israel (John 1:49)? Why has the modern Church done a pitiful job of sharing the Gospel with modern Orthodox Jews? Why would someone tell them they are God's chosen people and then fail to share the Gospel with them? Who is the seed of the woman promised in Genesis 3:15? What did Paul say about Genesis 12:3 in Galatians 3:8, 3:16? Who is the "son" in Psalm 2? Who is the "suffering servant" of Isaiah 53? Who would fulfill the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34? Who would fulfill the timeline of Daniel chapter 9 before the second temple was destroyed? Why have we not heard this simple Old Testament Gospel preached on Christian television in the United States on a regular basis? Once a person comes to understand the New Covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah 31:31-34, which is found fulfilled by Christ during the first century in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 10:16-18, and specifically applied to the Church in 2 Corinthians 3:6-8, and Hebrews 12:22-24, man-made Bible doctrines fall apart. Let us now learn to preach the whole Gospel until He comes back. The King of Israel is risen from the dead! (John 1:49, Acts 2:36) We are not come to Mount Sinai in Hebrews 12:18. We are come instead to the New Covenant church of Mount Zion and the blood in Hebrews 12:22-24. 1Jn 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. 1Jn 3:23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. 1Jn 3:24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us. The following verses prove the Holy Spirit is the master teacher for those now in the New Covenant. Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. Mar 1:8 I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost. Joh 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. Act 11:16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost. 1Co 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. 1Jn 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. You didn't read the passage right...1 Cor 7:10-11 doesn't say anything about divorcing for 'Biblical' reasons. It says if you divorce to remain single or get back with your spouse. The only way you can remarry is if your spouse dies. Mark 10: 11-12, Luke 16:18, Matt 5:32, 19:9 Jesus used to different words fornication and adultery. Fornication is the betrothal period and adultery is when your married. Two different words. Romans 7:2-3, 1 Cor 7:39 says only death breaks the marriage covenant. You even say it in your vows. Many people are in adultery because the church doesn't preach the truth.

With all due respect this in not Biblical teaching. Mark 10:10-11, Luke 16:18 Jesus says if you divorce and remarry your in adultery. 1 Cor 7:10-11 says if you divorce you are to remain single or reconcile with your spouse. Romans 7:2-3 say only death breaks the marriage covenant. Matt 5:32, 19:9 say except for fornication(the betrothal period) you commit adultery, you can divorce. Jesus used two different words and never says you can remarry. I'm sorry you teach not Biblical doctrine, I wont be joining this church. You had it right when you say your marriage vows, to death do us part...that's the only way you can remarry.

IT's funny how the unlearn try to brush away the Feasts of the Lord, by making statments like "these are the Jewish feasts". LOL, you can telll, they have not read the bible and God's commandments. Nowhere does it state these are the Jewish feasts, we use that term only because it is the Jewish people that still keep them, Yet scripture is very clear that the Feast belong to the Lord. Read your bible people. If you are "grafted in" as Paul states in Romans 11 and Eph. 2, then you and I are also commandend to obey the commandments. These were not "fulfilled" as this Pastor states. Matt. 5 : 17-20, Jesus said He did not come to fullfill the law. Its'time to wake up to the truth, get rid of this man made religion and follow hard after God in Jesus.

There is not nor has there ever been any such thing as "free will" in the created order. God is the only Being with a free will in the truest sense of the term. People often confuse free will with making choices between a limited number of options. Example: if I am looking at a restaurant menu and I have the choice of a Western Omelette or Eggs Benedict for breakfast, I am still only CHOOSING between a LIMITED set of options. I want steak and eggs, but that dish is not on the menu so therefore my options are constrained. If Jesus Christ Himself were sitting in that restaurant looking at the menu and was wanting steak and eggs, the dish would IMMEDIATELY appear before Him because, as God Almighty in human flesh, what He wills, happens! THIS is the only true and biblical definition of "free will". Hope this helps. God bless.

Most of the holidays of the Bible, except Purim and Hanukkah, were appointed by God to be observed for all generations. It is right for the church that has been grafted into the olive tree of Israel to celebrate the “nourishing sap” of our faith, to celebrate our Old Testament heritage while adding the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the story. The feasts of the Bible should be the feasts of the Church. Purim and Hanukkah too should be celebrated as well, remembering times when God delivered His people. Hanukkah is very important because it set the stage for the coming of Christ and the New Testament. If the Jewish faith had been destroyed at this time period, Christ may not have come. God used Hanukkah to keep the faith alive and pave the way for Jesus.
