Saint Matthew's Episcopal Church
Добавлен 17 мар 2020
Saint Matthew’s Episcopal Church is a Christian community focused on growing as God’s family - paraphrasing John 1:39 says it best: Jesus said come and see. Following Christ’s example, we invite you to “come and see” our faith community - a community where all are welcome, regardless of ethnicity, gender, or any of the other “labels” our modern world creates. We are a sacramental and worship-oriented church promoting thoughtful debate about what God is calling us to do and be as followers of Christ.

Rest in peace.
❤❤❤Such a moving sermon, Father Colville. We've missed you!
"We confess that some of our illnesses are if our own fault" seems like something a doctor might tell someone but why is this important from the pulpit? Obviously, there are thousands of illnesses, some terminal, that our loved ones that we are caring for, happen to be from lifestyle. I worked in hospice for AIDS patients. I took care of people who had lung cancer from smoking in the 50s and 60s. I took care of people with heart disease in my family. If somebody's sick in my family they call me. I would never remind a person that their illness was of their own fault. I do not see what that has to do with anything that this sermon is about other than maybe this Reverend has ministered to the sick. If a person wants to admit that their illness is of their own fault, and I happen to be caring for them, whether or not it was of their own fault makes no difference to me whatsoever. I wonder if there is any small children in the congregation? I find this and all of the sermons from the summer on white supremacy and misinformation to be of a political nature, and I find this sermon to be very disheartening.
Debra, Thank you for your long history of ministry with the sick and terminally ill. I appreciate your perspective and would be happy to meet with you in person to discuss your concerns. Please contact Saint Matthew's parish office to schedule an appointment. Many blessings, Rev. Monica
Thank you God .

Not opening on my IPad?
Beautiful!!
Do people really think that if they go to church they'll get Covid?
As humans we have no idea what other people are thinking so we cannot answer that question for anyone else. It is not that people will get Covid-19 because they attend church but that a church is the highest transmission area many people visit during the week.
This is a nice choice of church, Im looking to get away from the Roman Catholic church.
Thank you for joining us, Laurie! Please reach out if you have any questions about St. Matthew's or the Episcopal Church www.saintmatthewschurch.org/contact
