REDRAWING my Old Art | HOW MUCH HAVE I IMPROVE? 🔹 [ TIMELAPSE 52 ]
I invite you to revisit one of my first digital illustrations with me, created 17 years ago, when I was still a teenager dreaming of pursuing this passion. I intend to start sharing more videos like this with you, showcasing personal projects where I can experiment and enjoy my process. I hope you can enjoy it alongside me!
I feel a bit embarrassed to show these old drawings, where I honestly don’t even know what I was thinking when I made them, hahaha. But it's a very direct way to realize how much I've progressed over the years, both in technique and conceptualization, as well as time optimization. The original version must have taken me an entire day to complete, while the new version o...

    What are the selections/masking that you do at around 5:20? I'm trying to learn different ways to shade using CSP and your hard light (Luz fuerte?) method is interesting to me.

    • @feig1990
      @feig1990 День назад

      These are layer masks that I use to separate elements so I can work on each important element separately, without the rest getting in the way when painting. I find it especially useful when starting to render, removing the line and defining the edges. And yes, shading with a layer in Hard Light mode is one of the ones I use the most. I hope to do some livestreams starting today or tomorrow, in which I can show you the real-time process of some commissions, and there I can share with you things like the method I use for shading.

    Wow Feig, me alegra mucho ver la manera en que has mejorado a lo largo del tiempo, destacando que incluso a una temprana edad, por así decirlo, ya tenias un ojo para la ilustración y el arte. Cabe reconocer que no es común ver a un artista reflexionar sobre su trabajo previo, mas que nada porque nos acostumbramos a solo ver "lo bueno" de uno mismo, en mi perspectiva es importante ver el progreso que uno ha logrado con el paso del tiempo y ver tanto los altos y bajos que nos llevan a lo que vemos al día de hoy. Este fue un time-lapse muy cool y agradable de ver, especialmente porque si uno se fija bien, aun con el paso del tiempo, un artista mantiene esos ligeros hábitos cuando hace sus trabajos. Viéndolo de esta manera y como lo mencionaste con el aspecto del line art lo único que nos separa de ese "tú del antes" con el "tú de hoy" son los conocimientos y pasos que hemos aprendido con la experiencia para llevarnos a ese trabajo final. Muy buen trabajo Feig, felicidades! 🔥💯💯

      Muchas gracias! Y sí, ayuda bastante la descripción del cliente para comenzar desde un punto ya definido a trabajar. Y respecto de la importancia del dibujo, la verdad es que con el tiempo le he ido tomando más el peso a eso. Este video en particular es sobre el proceso de una ilustración hecha hace un rato ya, y desde ese momento hasta ahora, he aprendido a valorar mucho más la importancia de dedicarle más tiempo a pulir el dibujo, justamente porque así evito en mayor medida tener que rehacer cosas sobre la marcha como en esta ilustración. Si bien puedo tardar más en la fase de boceto y línea, al final termina siendo en general un tiempo total menor, ya que me ahorra bastante tiempo en el renderizado final.

      Thanks to you for watching! 😁 I plan to do two things very soon, one is to activate the channel members and share videos of around 3-4 hours of the processes with members, and also, start doing live streams where I can draw and paint in real time. I just need to free myself a little from all the work I have at the moment to start doing it hahah 😂

    Awesome work! Where did you get the brushes you use? Especially the first one you use for sketching the silhouettes?

    • @feig1990
      @feig1990 Месяц назад

      Thank You! 🥰 Most of the brushes I use on a regular basis were downloaded from Clip Studio Paint's free resource bank, but with some modifications of my own to make them more suitable for my hand. A while ago I shared the IDs of those brushes in the community for download in Clip, but soon I will also organize a pack with all the brushes I frequently use with my modifications, so that they can be purchased on Gumroad or so that channel members can download them when I activate that function.
