Use to work for a Ford dealership. Customer came in and said her car is making a weird squealing noise. Put it on the lift and it had about 1/4 -1/2 mile worth of barbed wires wrapped around the drive shaft. Took me almost 7 houts to cut it all out use a torch. Drive shaftn u-joints, rear pinion seal and rear trans seal was f**ked. NOT once did she say she ran off the road and into a fence. 🤣

That's why I have always done my own oil changes. Can't trust my vehicle to a bunch of teenagers doing their first job.

Years ago, I took my Ford truck to the dealer to get the fuel filter replaced, Ford used funky fuel filter connectors and I didn't have the tool to get it off. I told them to change the oil and filter since it was due, I usually did that myself. They returned my vehicle and as I was leaving, I noticed there was no oil pressure, the ECM shut the truck down. I found that they did not put oil back in my truck and on top of that they would have shorted me a quart as the truck took six quarts instead of five. They also managed to destroy my permanent air filter with compressed air even though the air box was marked to leave alone and not use compressed air on it. I made them replace the entire engine and give me a loaner car for free and the $75.00 air filter they destroyed.

Huh. Was it that plastic retainer clip that was broken near the back that caused the issue? Those things are a pain once they break.

I always go to MobilOne oil change, where they will show you the oil that they put in, and the dipstick...after I start the car and run it for15 seconds. You get the best oil, and competent people.

this happened to a friend of mine at walmart. he didn't make it out of the parking lot. but you want to know whats SAD is he took it back for another oil change once he got it repaired. but he checked to make sure he had a oil filter on it and it was tight this time. but i would have never went back

How could one owner not realize after pouring all the oil into the engine & not double check to c if he spun on the filter before starting the car up? Stupid dumbass now u r going to need a new engine because of your stupidity!

Saved money on oil filter

It is so utterly unbelievable, but it happens. I knew a guy who bought an older Lincoln, and it was a nice ride. He had it for about a year and all of the sudden, it was gone. I asked and he stated he didn't know he had to put oil in it. This kids have no clue these days because their heads are buried in gaming and socializing on their phones. It all comes down to pathetic parenting that they are not taught about the real world responsibilities required by them.

I guess that employee must have graduated from UTI automotive do you know what UTI stands for un trained idiots we had a guy when I was working at Walmart at the oil side changing oil the new employee that just graduated from UTI the manager and me informed the UTI graduate that there is a Saturn coming in oil change only we also informed him that it has an external transmission filter we told him do not remove that one the oil filter is on the opposite side of the motor regard to not listen to us at all this dumbass removed the transmission filter and ended up destroying the filter it cannot be reused my boss had to drive all the way downtown Houston to the nearest Saturn dealer did y'all get another transmission filter so yeah UTI un trained idiots
