Ricky Tomlinson...From...Err...BLACKPOOL You've gotta Laugh !!
Great video, just a major pity the photos went by so quick that I couldn't study exactly witch locations they were.
Keep going Rick, great bloke.Hope you and yours are well.God Bless.x
All I can say is you can take the boy out of Liverpool but you cant take Liverpool out of the boy. I left Liverpool fifty years ago but that is where my heart truly is and I will return when this life is over in powdered form left in Newsham Park but not just yet!
Great tunes and video ❤
You put this video together it’s brilliant and the songs from my area thank you for sharing bringing back old memories for each xx
20 minutes of pure nostalgia, recognized a lot of the pubs, especially the Kirkby pubs. Excellent songs, not a bad song amongst them. Thanks for the video👍
You should turn this channel into a Golden Oldies channel. Your choice of tracks is so nostalgic 💎
Thousands of kids in care homes in Birkenhead from Liverpool. Kids who didnt know their fathers who were drunk wasters. Horrible city.
Why were things in big cities back then were more stable politicians have made a complete mess of things. The shengen agreement politicians have sold us down the river for money its every person for theme today.
Great stuff Ricky , lets remember our heritage 😊
Liverpool my home ❤ LOVE IT 🥰
Brilliant so many memories x
Love the city born in Liverpool 1963 been here ever since and wouldn’t live anywhere else.these days has its crime but that’s just the times of 2024 anywhere in the world. ✌🏻
Dreadful pictures- it looks dire.
Drove for the Crosville in the 70s/80s the number 20 en route to Runcorn shopping city trundling up mount pleasant, could have been me😮, great job till thatcher privatised the industry 😢
Why not music from Liverpool locals. Great pictures! My family lives right off Prescott road in old swan
Tried too, but the ones I chose had copyright issue will do an update with different music soon
Send it Ricky lad
Good sounds
Anything there from north Liverpool e.g. Seaforth, Litherland? I was too young back then!
Cooksons the jewellers on Scotland Rd. My dad had that place in the 80/90's when it was Cookies
Great music but would be nice to know the location of each.
Some of those pics brought back some childhood memories. Happy Days 👍👍
I wonder how many of them pubs no longer exist ?....thanks for the memories....
Those not them.

Liverpool has changed culturally, city centre unrecognisable, Scouse culture & characters slowly fading away😢
Nah, you're just a wool
No chance lad. London yes. Liverpool is the same. We have the same heart and soul. We just got a bit older!
I think scouse culture is growing by the year and much more embraced than the 60's and 70's. It is also becoming more independent away from being english as well
Completely agree mate its full of student weasels and whores and foreigners it's a shadow of its former self wavertree has got the brunt of it
well done Ricky love it , the Hollywood butler
beautiful Liverpool Scouse power the Hollywood butler
It's a dump. If my home town looked like that now I wouldn't be posting photos.
I’m so proud of Liverpool, my hometown.....

11:46 The Old Post Office, School Lane - a regular of mine back in the 80’s. There was a supermarket opposite called ‘Moneysave’ I stacked shelves there in the evening after school in the mid 70’s.😊
Did well to have work!
I was also a shelf stacker in money save after school. ('74 to '76) like a lot of kids from Shorefields (nee Dingle vale and Toxteth tech). Moneysave was haunted by ghosts from the blue coat school, and no one would go down to the freezers after sunset. But everyone had no problem going to the Post Office.
11:36 Pub & Fire Station on Durning Road - Both buildings restored and now living accommodation
The pub was "The Shipperies". Loads of great live bands on there throughout the 70's. I was a regular member of the audience when I was a young girl!
6:27 Liverpool Stadium, a flea pit, never saw boxing here but many bands in the early 70’s, Black Sabbath, Uriah Heep, Dr Feelgood, Hawkwind, Thin Lizzy, Bad Company etc.
1:02 went a few weeks ago to the anglesea pub to grab a few pints.
Great city, great song. And I am a Glaswegian.
I and my family know this Muslim woman for many years in front of us is very sweet person behind our backs is very vulture along with husband the husband work in the Pakistani ctr in Liverpool
In this area part of the UK the kids are are not disciplined the kids drink alcohol and smoke because the parents do the same thing and wonder at night time I am surprised some of the kids and I went to Yemeni newspaper shop the woman had remarked about me and I ignored her remarks but personally I wanted her not to make stupid remark if she made the stupid remark I would insult her about religion Islam
Great video...the change in Lodge Lane over the decades is unbelievable its really run down and neglected I grew up around there in the 60's but left Liverpool in the late 70's and Lodge Lane was so nice back then
Glad you enjoyed it
Thanks for posting this - wondered if you have any old pictures of Windsor View (just off Lodge Lane)? My Grandad lived there, he was the last to leave, which really did the Council's head in who tried for years to rehouse him, but he just wouldn't leave :)
I'll have a look for you, if you're researching try Solway street you may have more luck maybe someone from the youth club may have some. I will post the ones I find. I have got some of the old pubs around the area:- the Clock, the Rob Roy, Coach n Horses etc just putting together at moment. Thank you, for taking the time to view
