VW Golf 8 GTI - Mountain Drive POV - Austria
WARNING - I don't recommend speeding on straight lines in the mountains. There can be unreported automatic speed radars or police with laser.
It may be much harder for them to catch you in a corner.
Consider respecting speed limits or investing in a mobile radar detector, if it's legal.

As you may know, I don't live near the mountains, so I can only film during vacations : once or twice a year.

WARNING - There is now an automatic speed radar on the very straight line in the beginning of the video. It's near Hopflauenen. It is not indicated by a sign or on Waze. Don't get trapped, fines are ultra expensive ! I don't recommend driving fast on straights anyways, probability of police is always higher. Have fun in corners but respect the limitations on the straight line (80km/h). Hello de...

Dieses Video wurde auf der Silvretta Hochalpenstraße in Österreich aufgenommen, von West nach Ost. Der Abschnitt von Ost nach West ist auch sehr schön.

Didn't notice lol :D Maybe he felt like I was following him from too close. I actually followed him for a long distance and quite a long time - not easy to find an overtaking spot. In an ideal world I would know the roads by heart, and only get close where I know I can overtake ;)
Are the tires making that sound when you're cornering?
Yes, there is a LOT of tire noise - and I actually had to work the audio record to bring out the engine sound reduce the sound of the tires. There was some parasitic sound aswell due to the entire boot loaded with suitcases and victuals :D
I have this car with remapped ECU (absolutely needed) . Now It has 360 HP and 710nm of torque and it is a game changer as it is fast as hell! The original wheels where Bridgeston Turanza and did a lot of noise in the corners. Few months ago I switched to Michelin pilot sport 4 and big grip and no noise at all. Another big game changer!
Du hast doch den Knall nicht mehr gehört Kollege! Das ist keine scheiss Rennstrecke, da fahren Familien mit Kindern! Mit 130 über den Furka Pass ballern, schön dauerhaft im Gegenverkehr, du hast sie doch nimmer alle. Wenn du Rally fahren willst, dann lerns richtig und meld dich da an, das ist kriminell was du hier abziehst. Hoffentlich kassieren dich die Bullen in der Schweiz mal für so eine Idiotenaktion, die sind da wenig spaßig aufgelegt, da gehts für sowas ab in den Bau, zu Recht.
bro i have to write another comment: this was the most beatifull drive i have ever saw, the mountains and the roads, this is some kind off therapy, i a m 16 now, but i cant wait to get a car and first thing i will do will be trip to Switzerland. Its lovely

I think you confused public road with race track. Beautiful views are there for sure but I think your driving skills left at home. My advise, either drive without risk of harming anyone or hand over your licence. World needs less drivers like you.

@@timotejt5679it is fast, too fast. Look at 02:09 or 02:14, there is no way he could have seen that there is no traffic coming. Now he was lucky because no one was driving there, but if someone was driving there, he was fucked.
