I actually designed an ak47 version of this which let's you stand far from the barrel and when you put the bullet in, it automatically fires it. Do you think I should make a tutorial on that gun too?
Also, to answer your question, the sand must be falling in order for the sand to shoot. If you put a piston that pushes a sand block right above the observers, then u could hook that piston up to a lever and if would work.
