We kept the box that it came in and put it in the box or hang it on the rack when not in use. You could also probably use one of those nylon sports drawstring bags as well.

@@FireItUpGarage Yes, ha ha, my Father had them for sale for at least 5 years, nobody was brave enough to try!….I remember him telling me that you had to lean and shift your weight to steer it!….the mind boggles!…..he also said that 10HP was the largest outboard you should attach. Yours in the photo is 40HP…oh dear!.

Thanks for asking. If you got an aftermarket resistor the quality can be a little hit or miss. With the ones from Autozone or Advanced auto etc plan to replace them every few years. The one good thing about those is that they often have a lifetime warranty. Being that it is a pretty simple replacement I would give it one more shot. There is a chance the one you got was no good in the first place. The controls can offer some problems as well, but the resistor is much more common.
