Oh boy, I miss this place. Lived there for over 12 years. My kids were born there. I consider it home.

This is where my grandfather is from, originally they lived on Pinchards Island but they were made to move to Newtown because of the resettlement of rural fishing villages by the government. I love visiting during the summer! Such a special place in my heart❤

Danny's trail is a lovely dedication to the man who maintained and cared for this beautiful part of Newfoundland before his passing. His family has been a big part of my life for many years. I actually had the privilege to walk a large part of Danny's trail about 5 years ago before it was officially memorialized in his name. A most beautiful and peaceful place to visit.

Wow,, I never knew there was a place like this in Nfld. I love it. Of course just about every place in Newfoundland is amazing in its beauty.

Every couple of years they temporarily shut the dam upstream because the swimming pool gets all full of silt and the city has to clean it out . This is the best time to go with metal detectors and check the riverbed of the swimming pool for lost jewelry and coins .

I love it! I was home with my sister in July and we travelled that route with our mom. In September, my partner and I drove our RV to NL from BC and again I travelled it with him and my mom. Every time I go home I do this route and love it every time. What a beautiful video.

Do you know of a community, that might be lost now, called Loreto or Loretto on the Port au Port penisula? I found a song collected in Loretto from Josie La Costa in 1959.

Amazing so pretty

We seen this iceberg a couple weeks later and it was much closer to shore but much smaller! Far too windy to put up my drone that day so really enjoyed seeing this video. Thank you 😊
