Now that you mention it there’s totally Arvo Part influence in here. I need to go back and listen to more of his works. Thanks so much for taking the time to listen!
Hi! And thank you! Apologies on responding 4 years late lol. Somehow never got the idea of actually showing the keys. May have to implement that in the future. I don’t really consider myself to be a composer, and I only really started making these as a way to relieve emotional stress. Almost like a diary, but as a musician, I felt like creating these more accurately described my emotions on any given day. With that being said, a lot of the musical ideas that are produced in these come to me basically randomly. I just sat down and recorded the first one, and went from there. While I hardly expect you to listen to all of these, you’ll notice a lot of recurring themes/finger patterns etc that come up frequently, and while I don’t have an explanation for their origin, I’d say if you’re looking to write music, just sit down by whatever instrument you’re comfortable playing and just go for it. I recently watched the Beatles Documentary, and there’s a scene in there where McCartney just starts playing random stuff on his guitar and making random sounds, and eventually just comes up with “Get Back.” It seems like he discovered the song more so than wrote it if that makes sense. The point being music comes from within, and if you’re trying to write it, you just need to find the best way of getting it out of you. Idk if you’re still looking for advice 4 years later, but if you are I hope this helped!
Beautiful. Much respect that you post all of these improvisations regardless of whether anyone's watching or not. I wish I could improvise like this. I should practice improvising more!
Thank you! These just started as a way to relieve emotional tension, but one day I just started recording them on my phone, and this seemed like the easiest way to store them all in one place. Sorry for responding 4 years late lol. But I’m glad that you enjoyed this one!
I love this one so much! It has so much emotion in it. Keep at it!
Than you so much for listening!! I definitely plan to keep making these!

Nice. Some of those chord spacings a bit like Arvo Part. Love the whole tone scale too.

Any tips on writing music? You're really good.
You should show like an above view of your keys. I'm subbing!
