OK so I know you are confused on what a key is so I will try to explain The key is basically a limited set of notes (scale) that the music sticks to most of the time. in megalovania and chaos king, the key is D minor (you can hear an example of every note in D minor sequentially in en.wikipedia.org/wiki/D_minor). In BIG SHOT, the key is B-flat minor (see en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B-flat_minor to hear the audio). also in each key there is a "root" which is basically the most important note in the key and it's important that everythhing comes back to the tonic, in D minor the root is D and in B-flat minor the root is B-flat. does this help? although this is very simplified

just a bit of advice make sure that you use the same scale for everything, or use a scale at all. it makes it sound so much better
