The definitive and final cut of "BANG" as shown at the 27th Annual Valencia Film Celebration. "When Robert witnesses a murder as a young boy, the trauma that plagues him goes on to dramatically alter the course of his life." This 2 minute short exemplifies how precise and exact, intricate, and demanding the film process is. What appears on your screens for a couple moments took a few days and 3...

"Quarantined in his home, a man grapples with his guilt." I made a Covid film. This pandemic has been a very tragic and solemn time and I wish the source material for this film never existed. What this film is about is exaggeratedly based on what real people are really going through every day because of loss. Trying to protect my own family, I made this piece completely on my own, using them as...

I heard that lion fish are very tasty so maybe more people can start fishing and control their numbers.
Spent 2 weeks in everglades with Army for ."training" lol that sucked in August too I'm city boy came out a swamp man
My son died from an AVM we never knew existed. I wish he had a brain scan when he was younger and it could have been detected. His name was James. I miss him every second of every day.
We should embrace the tropical vibes and unique or the only state that is, so far my favorite are iguanas, parrots, flamingos, monkeys. Better than swamps IoI and a little movement is normal, it’s big corps that have an issue and a lot of exaggeration against animals, can control but if they’re surviving it’s meant to be.
1:47, Joe Exotic?
OH I THOUGHT IT WAS REPUBLICANS
Should worry more about Feral pigs, they cause the most Damage
They don't do shit. They can get all the animals they wants, even if it could be dangerous .Usa n Florida are true clown
7:18 AMPHIBIAN!
Amazing story! We should make one about Victorious Vickie! Victorious Vickie’s story from 2013! Vickie is now walking and talking! ruclips.net/video/s2a8BCgoT04/видео.html Vickie walks SOLO at Fort Point San Francisco for the first time since surviving a Double Brain Aneurysm in 2013! ruclips.net/user/shorts8BG9adgAnfA?feature=share
Omg!! I'm crying. I had an AVM resection in the parietal/temporal lobe.
Thanks for creating this. I felt very identified with the character. I was diagnosed with a brain malformation at the age of 18 and although my malformation is not treatable, it is comforting to know that I am not alone in this. Greetings from Chile, South America.
They need to take some of those pythons and send them up to New York one summer. They’ll eat the rats then die in the winter.
Everyone in Florida is high af
Yeah
I'm living with a 10cm INOPERABLE AVM 🙏🙏🙏❗️GOD BLESS 😃🙏
I was diagnosed with an AVM 5 years ago. Had it promptly removed when I found the right medical team. I was always described it as walking around with a gun to the back of my head. As stated by another poster, the anxiety left when I got that surgery date locked in. Such a relief.
Thank you for making a film that truly depicts what’s happening in our daily lives. #avmsurvivor
Although this is a good attempt at raising awareness, particularly around the emotional impact of an AVM diagnosis, I found this very unrealistic. He appeared to only have had to wait one month or so for treatment, I guess this was private healthcare in the US. I had to wait nine months for surgery in Canada. In the UK you could wait over a year for surgery. The neurosurgeon appeared to make light of his illness, and didn't explain the risks associated with brain surgery ie death and permanent disablement, loss of speech etc. He went for an MRI scan before his surgery but there was no mention of a cerebral angiogram which is much more invasive and traumatic than an MRI. And who lies on a hospital trolley being wheeled in for brain surgery grinning from ear to ear? It is a terrifying ordeal, someone is about to drill through your skull. The movie ending abruptly at his surgery made it appear as though he lived happily ever after. For most AVM patients undergoing brain surgery it can take years to recover from it, and they may be left with permanent deficits (physical or cognitive) I'm not a hater, and appreciate the attention being give to rare illnesses such as brain AVM's. I was just disappointed. They honestly made the whole experience look much easier than it really is for the majority.
Hello Erica, I hear and understand your concerns with the film. As this was a student film with a limited budget, there were aspects that we were unable to portray due to budget & time constraints, the angiogram being one of those aspects. I realize every AVM experience is different, this was the story of mine. When I was told I was going to be able to have surgery, I felt an enormous sense of relief. I had complete faith in my surgeon and felt very safe during my hospital stay, and that’s what I chose to portray.
@@neutralmelkhotel came here from CFFN to view this poignant student short film. The awareness measure and message came across succinctly. Congrats to the film crew, and may you continue to live an abundant life, David 🙏
@@neutralmelkhotel You should have come to the US for the surgery. Once the AVM is a specific size they operate right away - no delaying! US has amazing healthcare especially in San Francisco. We are blessed.
….or you could be like my son, James. He collapsed after getting out of the pool from swim practice. We had ZERO idea his AVM existed. I wish pediatrics would make it mandatory to check for these. Maybe my son would still be alive today. I can’t tell you how hard it is to watch stories like this or read fb posts about survivors of AVM. My son didn’t have a chance. It seems like the whole world made it through their AVM, except my son. I’ve never wished for a Time Machine more in my life.
This hits home in so many ways. We also found my son's AVM before a rupture and can relate to the "waiting game" Thank you for creating this . Great job!!
Loved it❤️
We continue to be honored to be a small part of this amazing awareness project. Thank you to David, Josh, Oscar, Stuart, Valencia College, the cast and crew, and to the amazing supporters of TAAF who dedicate funds to projects that they know will make a difference in this community. Congratulations to everyone!
It turned out great!! Twas a wonderful time workin on this!

Hope? There's more and more invasive species every year. Give up
They should just cut the heads as soon as they get them any size don’t matter they all gotta go
2:12 For the love of God, if you're scared of visiting the everglades because of the pythons and not the bears, cougars, and alligators, then why do you care about a slither boy?
It's odd how there's zero mention of the Green Anaconda in this video - a snake that is better adapted to the Everglades habitat than the Burmese Python and is known to exist there, probably in comparable numbers.
Great work Josh.
What is that kid doing allowing the snake wrap around his neck ?
is there a native snake in the everglades that is analogous to the the invasive python? or are these pythons exploiting a niche?
one of the side effects of globalization....
Just FYI: both pythons and lion fish are MIGHTY TASTEY! 😉
Nick, don't be a jerky example...you should not have a snake that size around your neck for ANY length of time for ANY reason, even with spotters. If he got excited and constricted, spotters would have to injur him or even kill him to save your life. Big snakes DO NOT BELONG AROUND YOUR NECK EVER.
WE are the most damaging invasive species in the everglades!
Good short film. I really like the story and it's a good message for many of those out there
🔥🔥
🔥
I dont see south american species as "invasive" - And if Ecalyptus trees drink all water then import the animal that eats ecalyptus - I guess A Koala flock would be the Biggest threat to Florida like in th 66 million years since the astreoid - No Ecalytpys three in sightmust be a huge economic downfall so better only have ecalyptus on every acrer for money
Damn Yankees....😡
Man, if you have a pool in Florida you have to have that thing covered up if you're NOT using it!
LMFAO We have made several species natural to our home go extinct. Now we need to do the same to these invasive species. It shouldn't be too hard.
if invasive and dangerous to environment, then destruction is the best and most viable response. Banning them outright is the only answer combined with destruction upon discovery, regardless of pet, display or wild.
Clown knife fish, snakeheads monitor lizards, anoles, Brazilian Holly just a few they forgot to mention
Waiting for the people who say leave the poor python alone while denying the price that will be paid on countless other species
So ... Is there a bounty on these species
Yes they are captured and turned into biologist euthanize and dissect them to remove the females eggs. They are trapped by professional python hunters and Agents from the Florida Wildlife python elimination program. Python annual roundups are held in which citizens can purchase a permit to capture and have pythons euthanized and w i n prices up to $10,000. Citizens can have pythons captured euthanize and the eggs destroyed on private land 365 days a year without a permit.
Can Invasive species apply to Nationalities too? Because everything that implies says a foreigner can change the face of a local culture. The Cubans, Haitians, Jamaicans, Chinese etc. has change the heck out of Florida and the Bahamas. What did the Lion fish called the coral reef? xenophobic.
