Some things are just more important than winning the run

I would love to but I wouldn't even know where to start with a guide. STS forces you to be a lot more flexible and knowledgeable than Brotato does and I don't think it's posssible to have a 100% winrate in the game even if you're playing perfectly.

If you win a run on any other character it should automatically unlock!

The claw unlocks from winning with Cryptid. You can definitely just use the Fist though! I wouldn't go for much Crit and focus more on melee damage / attack speed / percent damage, if you use the first

That's great. The next thing could be to think about what elites / boss you will have to fight soon when you're picking cards. That way you can build your deck to be stronger against those immediate threats

Hahaha I would keep doing Wave 2 with Two Baits over and over until I got used to grouping Lampreys into corner. Also, most importantly is to get used to moving through their projectiles! If you can survive that you should easily be able to win with the Fisherman. A good example is at 6:40 for about ten seconds after where I dodge between a bunch of projectiles slowly. The next wave at 8:00 is also a good example. Those middle waves are technically the most difficult because you actually have to dodge since you don’t have ridiculous damage yet

The Shredder works really similarly to the Slingslot, so that makes a lot of sense! I recommended the Slingslot since you don't have to 'aim' the bounces, it gives the primitive Max HP bonus, and has higher Ranged Damage scaling. I think the limit for baits late game is more or less only limited by your economy! It's so easy to kill the lampreys once you have enough stat and weapon upgrades

@KaisongDIDI I like shredder better because of the AOE damage. Late game, a single explosion would take out everything. I also like slingshot but it's limited for clearing huge mobs. You also cannot upgrade bounce damage as opposed to explosive. If you get ricochet and piercing, a single shot from T4 shredder boosted by 1000% dmg on top of whatever range dmg bonus you got, would clear out half the map.

I definitely will be posting STS content every week! I also found out that there is supposed to be STS2 coming out soon so I have more reason to start playing One again until Two comes out. Also, if you’re taking your time to think about most parts of your runs, they can easily take up to two hours. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with rushing through runs or skipping the heart, if that’s what you find fun. However if you wanted to improve, I’d say making a small change like waiting for all your cards to load into your hand + 1 or 2 seconds could help. Also just spending a minute or two to think about pathing might be another thing. Regardless, I realized early on that Ascension 20 runs are impossible to win 100% of the time even if you’re playing nearly ‘perfectly.’ So I wouldn’t take it personally if you feel like you struggle to finish heart runs!

Of course, that can work really well. However, since I try to make my guide videos as replicable as possible, I tend to give general recommendations based on a specific starting weapon. In the case of the Lich, I think starting with Scepters and playing this way is the most easily replicable and one of the more consistent / easy ways to play him, since you don't need to find any specific items and such.

Also getting spicy sauce and just standing still tanking while enemies explode on you sounds like a funny build for endless. I might have to try that!

That's a very fair thing to be curious about! Basically, I'm very slightly reducing the amount of 1 Cost units that are in the overall pool, which can increase my chances of finding the 1 Costs that I want (in the spot you mentioned that is mainly Draven). Also, if I randomly found enough copies to 2 Star any of those units, I could play them temporarily over something weaker.

I would personally recommend only trying that strategy of lowering odds at 4 or 5 costs. there are so many 1,2 and pretty much 3 costs in the pool, that holding onto them does increase the odds, but the mental math and awareness it takes to know how much you can roll is not worth the trade off of like .001% better odds. that being said tho holding 4 and 5 costs to increase odds is a lot more beneficial.for every 4 and 5 cost you hold it takes away about 1% of the total pool of that cost. hard to explain but hope what i said makes sense haha

@@G1ft3dConfus1on You're not wrong about the odds difference being mostly minimal but I am a Grandmaster level player, so I do these small things instinctively since they do increase my odds to win over dozens / hundreds of games. It doesn't really tax my mental or slow down my play personally, though I wouldn't recommend newer players worry too much about these things while they're still learning. Also, just like I mentioned in my first comment, holding 1 Costs in a position like that also gives you chances to randomly 2 Star a unit and play it temporarily. At the five-minute mark, if I randomly hit Singed 2 Star, I would definitely have played it over Darius 1 Star and been stronger for a (few) turn(s). A better example that matches your point is later on when I held Heimerdinger the 4 Cost (1 of 10 Heimerdingers in the pool) in order to reduce my three opponents' odds of finding him.

It definitely can work but there are some pairs that are better than others. Like if you play Loud with Ghost you can have a lot more enemies and that would let the Ghost stack up his weapons more easily. But anything could work decently even Ghost and Farmer together!

You're not wrong! However I was still playing to keep my options open at that point and Swain with Glove was better overall than forcing four conqueror by taking Rell with a bad component. Swain Two, the Dravens, and being uncontested convinced me to lock in on Conquerors

The items that require you to stand still don't automatically work well on Streamer. Attack speed is less valuable than the money unless you have Improved Tools. Chameleon is good but unnecessary since it's so easy to cap out dodge naturally and not limit it to only when you're standing still.

I think that strategy can be really fun but I wouldn’t recommend it since the map is sooo big that the turrets don’t work well unless you find the Pockey Factory like you said haha

You definitely want to split your damage stats up kind of equally. I took a bunch of HP regeneration for fun but it still worked. Too much attack speed can’t work that well on its own unfortunately

@@KaisongDIDI yh ill keep trying, I'm going to follow your entire guide vid by vid so keep em posting, when you run out of characters you could also do a new series on the abys. also would be cool to see you do an endless run to see how far you can get. I don't often watch streams but id be interested in watching you stream live brotato gameplay

Hey! You can definitely get unlucky and just never find any Trees. Starting in Shop 1 you have a 100% to find Tier 1 items (like the tree). That chance slowly decreases down to 40% as you get closer to Wave 11 and if you have any Luck it decreases faster. So basically, if you reroll more in the early shops and before taking Luck stats, you should have a much better chance of finding trees. Also try to avoid buying unnecessary items and only buy really valuable items early on. Hope this helps! (You won't be as strong without trees, but you should still be able to win easily without them)

I also forgot to mention that you could also try using Ethereal Axes as your starting weapon! They scale better but are riskier early on

hah nvm on my 4th attempt i just beat the game very powerfull thanks to your guide i still only managed to find 2 tree upgrades. that being said liked and subscribed!

Anything can work but I wouldn't recommend taking this if you're rerolling. I'd only really play this with sentinels, bruisers, watchers since they actually utilize the HP extremely well.
