One that I would highly recommend adding to the list is the GlamLite Setting powders and then as a total suggestion out of left field, the Lottie London setting powder is the closest I’ve found to look like the Givenchy!

I don’t buy high end makeup so I appreciate the drugstore options you mentioned. I’ve never really heard anyone recommend the Cover Girl powder, so I’m definitely going to try it sometime. ❤

Oh my gosh I had the same thing happened to me when I got the L’Oreal eyeshadow sticks. Exactly the same I watering and I never have any problems with any type of make up.

Concealer is the product I have the hardest time with. I wouldn't say I have dry undereyes, but it always ends up looking super dry, and always settles into the line under my eyes. My dark circles are intense so I would love to cover them up but whenever I try I feel like it looks worse than when I started. I've also tried color correctors and brighteners but can't seem to get it right. Do you have any tips and tricks for figuring out what kind of concealer will work best? Or tips for making concealers work?

forgot to mention: super important to color match full coverage concealers like this one.. the Dune shade is already a tad too dark for me! should have mixed in more of Beech for this video :)

Had the same reaction with the Loreal stick and thought it was just something with my eyes. Stinks because i like everything else about them but.. gonna check out your Milani video and maybe try theirs.

This was so helpful! Your video landed in my feed and I’m so happy. I’ve been wanting to hear some honest reviews about shadow sticks since some new ones have appeared on the market. I have the elf no budge shadow sticks and these are as advertised. I do find them to be quite dry and I’m unable to effectively apply it on my lid without a significant amount of pressure and tugging, so I apply on the pad of my finger and rub it on, works totally fine. I’m thinking the Tattoo Eye Stix may be the same. I’m definitely going to try them out. ❤ from 🇨🇦

I had the same reaction from the L’Oréal. I had an itchy sensation that was painful and then watery eyes. I love love the shade and the formula but there is something that it is wrong

I also noticed that you left the tape in your compacts! If you take out your pan out and peel off the white layer there is a sticky layer to adhere your pan better !

I had that eye watery reaction you got from l'oreal from the elf shadow sticks (at least, the metallic ones). I wonder if there's some sort of alcohol in the dry down process. I'm so glad you brought that up because I HATE that. It's not just about the stinging, but it legitimately makes me feel *tired*. (same for sunscreens, like elf whoaglow and supergoop unseen)

Love a brutal review because I watch to know which to buy! I bumped into your review about a week after I came to the same conclusion. I am super pale and cool toned, using the lightest shades of foundation. I tried Laura Mercier in Rose Gold and Au Naturel and returned them. You were right and they didn’t even work on my pale skin. I saw some reviews afterwards that said the formula seems to have changed for the worse. All I wanted was something to scribble and blend to neutralize blue and red veins since my skin is also transparent. A neutral base. I am allergic to something in MAC Paintpots or I’d use Painterly. LM didn’t show up well, what did creased easily and wore off my hooded lids. Same as you said. I then bought Bobbi Brown in Nude Beach and Shore and they are perfection, both matte with a little life- almost satin. I now have Moonstone and Golden Bronze for a champagne and Taupe shimmer. My quest was over then, but I saw your video pop up and I was curious if you found the same issues and you did! Loved how you put them through a week long trial, without primer on bare lids. I am sick of reviews that are first impressions and screeching about how they’re “obsessed”. You did a fantastic job and thank you!❤

Use a wet sponge or your hands to blend the blushes if you're not using it over foundation. As an oily skin gal I love her stick blushes. They're very long lasting and beautiful. If you like that high light stick you will really like the compact high light.

So, I came to my computer (I usually have RUclips in the background while I'm doing other things) to say I was shocked by two things. 1. That this video has 16 videos and that you do not have a ton more subscribers and 2. That I was already subscribed (once again, I cycle through things with RUclips in the background unless I'm really committed). If you were going to pick three eyeshadow palettes that you had to use for the rest of your life, which ones would they be? I feel like you got a bad Essence blush. I have the peach one and it’s my fave blush. Gives lots of color that glows and lasts all day. Maybe try another one?
