The housing plots get filled up as soon as you place all the outside and inside items. What I usually do is I just place the outside ones, then villager hunt and then place the inside items so this doesn't happen. Also yes the first 3 plots need way too much space around them 😅

Your villagers will only gift you the shovel (and the iron nuggets) AFTER you agree to build the Nooks's shop.

You have to buy 100 things to get the shop app on your phone

If you don't upgrade it you can't move it and you don't get the shop until you get out of the tent for your house

I LOVE IT! I’m doing a Christmas themed island too. Glad I’m not the only one who doesn’t care for Redd…. I decided I don’t even care if I can’t get to his beach. The entrance IS indeed a pretty view. I also am glad I’m not the only one who has absolutely never had a good campsite villager. Never. Not since 2020. It’s pretty much always walking in and immediately walking back out. I love the “Let it go” pun about the last mum…. You probably didn’t even realize it (it’s from Frozen).
