THE MARX BROTHERS in DONKEY SHINES - The lost Marx Brothers Movie.
Просмотров 255 тыс.2 года назад
A LOST MARX BROTHERS MOVIE?! Not really. This is a project that kept me busy during Covid lock down. The challenge was to find the best and funniest scenes of the later, not-so-good Marx Brothers movies and edit them into one new complete movie with a linear, and hopefully funny and coherent story. Does Love Happy, Room Service, At The Circus, Copacabana and The Big Store give us a happy-happy ...

Kittos Mikko.( Mike🇺🇸🇫🇮🇵🇱👍
Yes; all five brothers were great in everything they put their mind and soul too 🇺🇲🇮🇱 .
Yup
Poor Chico with his gambling addiction ☹️ He had some loyal brothers, though. Too bad this project didn’t get off the ground. Marx forever!!
Ugh oh…spoiler alert; real stinkeroo. …oye vey 😺
Looks like Raymond Burr(Perry Mason).
Looks like Raymond Burr(Perry Mason).

Looks like Raymond Burr(Perry Mason).
Hysterical movie!!!!
A very young Vera Ellen. What a dancer!
Oh, thank you Mike ,very much. The genius of the Marx Brothers and those close to them was amazing !!! Their jokes are epic and forever. Isn't that Raymond Burr ?
Very clever -- and well-done -- but there must be a way you could incorporate the Harpo and the turkey scene from Room Service; I always thought that was the funniest scene in the movie. Maybe when he was looking for food, or in a (loose) connection with the penguin (?) scene from Love Happy. I can see how The Big Store would present a problem, but "press-a-the-grapes" or "where are my kids?" would be be worthy additions if the notion of continuity could be stretched a little further. :)
Lefty was in’Rebecca’ woo hoo I love all things Marx Brothers I went as Harpo once for Halloween - back when I had a perm!
Love happy
Nice compilation piece.
DUDE! brilliant. thank you!!!!!!!!!!!
Great to see "new" old footage of the Marx Men . Those Guys were hilarious Comics and are still making People laugh to this Day.❤👍👍👏👏
Nice work! I love these kind of alternate-reality/fantasy Frankensteined projects -- I've done a couple myself, including taking some not-so-great feature films that the Three Stooges co-starred in ("Meet the Baron" and "Swing Parade") and giving them "two-reeler edits" to see if they'd work better as Stooge-centric shorts (they do), and assembling a full feature film out of rare and obscure Monty Python (and related) sketches with Christmas/Christianity themes (entitled "Jesus Christ: Lust For Glory") which coincidentally enough now has about as many views (250,000-300,000) as this lovely Marx Brothers concoction! Of course, where this project benefited from the sameness of plots among certain movies of that era, my Python project was essentially doable because of the troupe's penchant for random segues and non sequitur craziness...
You did a good job!
Very funny and clean jokes. Refreshing in 2024.
Just found this, I think thr boys would approve
Thank you, Mike, you did a great job pulling it together. First time I've seen it, didn't know it even existed. Very enjoyable, still funny so many years later.
This is a mish-mash of more than one Marx Bros. movie.
I never understood how Harpo could pull that face. The puffed cheeks and fish lips combo
They were past their prime when they made this one.
I would've also swiped some stuff from A Night In Casablanca. But what was done here ain't bad at all.
There was a ton of Casablanca.
Just watched this... some people are confused. This is not a lost Marx Brothers movie but a compilation using scenes of their later movies. It was created by Mr. Rowe to resemble an actual MB film. It's actually very well done and was truly enjoyable. Good job!
Wow! This is amazing. Who can do this today. I was entranced from the beginning to the end.
Very well done! I thought I had seen all the Marx Brothers movie but after watching this I realized that I don't think I've ever seen Love Happy. I'll have to remedy that!
It was just pieces of different films mostly love happy
Yep. Read the description.
Now thats Marxism...and marxmanship; cinematic genius given the technologies and resources
The way you made it look like Chico and Harpo were in Copacabana was absolutely brilliant. I had to check IMDB to see if they were in it. They weren't
needs Marilyn Monroe
Always funny, never hilarious
They were hilarious in their first 5 movies. None of which are featured here.
These guys were geniuses and ahead of their time. Back in the 30s making such great movies
Thank you for sharing this! 😂❤ LMAO I lllll Love Groucho Marx 😅 All of the Marx Brothers!
😅😅😅😅
😅😅😅😅
Some clever jokes! P.S. Is that Stephen Merchant?
As a young lad growing up in the early 70s in england during the Christmas holidays, every morning we were shown on t.v a laurel and hardy film and a marx brothers film. Even though i loved laurel and hardy , my favourite's were the marx brothers. Most people when they talk about marx brothers films usually mention films like duck soup , a night at the opera, a day at the races , but i honestly love some of their latter films such as go west , a night in Casablanca, at the circus and horse feathers. All superb movies with their moments in. In honesty i could never say what my favourite marx brothers film was but my 2 least favourites was love happy and room service, but they to had their moments. For me the marx brothers were the greatest and most talented comedians ever. Followed by laurel and hardy.
Oh, and just as with this one, the comments my "lost Python movie" also run appropriately 75% "I love it!" and 25% "Hey, this ain't a lost film!"
Doctor.,
OMG Raymond Burr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for posting this
This thing should have stayed lost, it's not good.
It never was lost. It was something he cobbled together from several already existing films.
I thought "At the Circus" was great! And Room Service was pretty good. I agree the other 3 mentioned were in the not so hot category. Especially "The Big Store". That one was a real stinkeroo! But that makes 10 great to very good movies out of 13. Not a bad score!
😊 it's actually quite charming 😍... Some good scenes and good overall direction is quite refreshing 💙
😂😂.... What a treat! Margaret Dumont is here too..😊 We were young when an aunt insisted we saw our first Marx Brothers film...in the 70s.. A night at the Opera was the first one and with young and adult friends in Beirut, we would repeat all the funny lines of their major hits for days 😹
That was a lot of fun. Thank you!
This has always been my favorite Marx Bros movie
But, this isn't a real Marx Brothers film. This is parts of several movies combined. So...
@@IanNason-qn9yw We have a winner!
Lovely job, many thanks
32:46 so simple but very original and hilarious. The origins of modern comedy
