Windows 11 works on SSD or HDD the difference between those two is that SSD is much faster. You need at least 64 GB or greater available disk space for Windows 11 as a requirement set up by Microsoft: learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/whats-new/windows-11-requirements

One of the following can hopefully fix your issue: - Start Rufus as admin - Try Rufus 4.6p instead of .exe - Use different USB port - If possible use another Windows ISO - In partition scheme set it to GPT and press start. Let me know if it works / don't work.

If you have an unactivated Windows 10 you can still do the upgrade to Windows 11 but your status will stay remain as unactivated. Upgrade can be done via Windows 11 ISO file.

Thanks for your response. What if Windows 10 is activated, but without genuine licence. Also, If Upgraded to Windows 11(unactivated), will it work smoothly.

Can you try and set the partition scheme to GPT and see if it appears. Let me know if it works / don't work.

I have the Rufus 4.6.2208. on the boot select menu it doesn't show windows ISO. I have the ISO file on my D drive. Any chance you know how to get Rufus to work?

@@grndragon2443 Hello grndragon2443, You have to click on "select" from the dropdown menu and click on "select" again, a pop up will appear then navigate to your D drive and select the ISO. Is that what you mean ? :)
