1. Nice watch 2. Very astute commentary on Donut Media. I 100% agree. 3. I noticed you used the term Mr. Beastified in the video. i understand it but I think there is a big misconception here. RUclips is not this way because of Mr.Beast. YT naturally evolved (or mutated , you pick) into what we see today. Mr. Beast saw that shift happening a mile away, and perfected thumbnail design and video structure for maximum viewer retention. The biggest difference i have noticed is apparently Zack and Jobe created the font and thumbnail style of Donut. Bc not only have they seemlessly incorporated it into BigTime, with Donut not seeming to fight them on it, but now Donut's thumbnails have been looking super bland and boring

I felt like Jimmy's video on BigTime was Jerry signal boosting his friend, maybe to bring him over but at least help him get a following/viewers if he is becoming a Donut host to take Jerry&Zach's place. I haven't watched Donut video's in a while though (mainly watched MoneyPit, B2B, and Hi/Low) so idk how much on screen time Jimmy gets but he always seemed like a cool background guy from the video's I've seen him in (he's also showing up in Donuts Toutube ads)

I'll go back to Donut if Jimmy leaves. The most annoying guy ever.

When Science Garage, Up To Speed, HiLo, and Miracle Whips were cancelled that's when the channel started going downhill, I'd been subbed since the VERY first Up To Speed episode and seeing it go downhill like it has truly is upsetting.

I really liked donut for a long time, bought a hoodie and stickers even. But a few years ago I started feeling like they were starting to run out of content to make for some series like Up to Speed and Bumper to Bumper, while also expanding and hiring more people and upping the production value. Their content shifted in a direction that for whatever reason stopped getting me to click. I think it was sometime in the second season of High Low, and/or when a lot of their content became reaction content and long form reads of wiki pages with jokes.

The thumbnails alone were insufferable.

You realize donut has been doing that competition for years. They could have stolen it years ago, but that video is not a new thing for them. Plus, the whole facebook marketplace challenge is relatively popular among car youtube channels from what Ive seen
