Listen Taxi drivers are stuck in the past mentality people. They are 100% against any form of modern day systems, They want a 100 year old system. Now we have uber 1 app 1 button pickup very easy. The knowledge isn't needed anymore today. Scrap it 🤨
GIVE IT UP MATE THE KNOWLEDGE IS FINISHED. UBER DRIVERS NICKING HALF YOUR WORK 😊
Tom The Taxi Driver on RUclips has an excellent video on this subject. Well worth taking a look at. As for the sat nav thing, nah, The Knowledge everytime.
Clouds and more clouds always clouds, even in a story trying to promote the virtues of starry dark skies 2:27. You can come up to Scotland for even less light-polluted skies but with even more clouds except maybe for a couple of months in summer when there is no night sky at all, just a few hours of twilight! And further down south, forget it. Heavy light pollution everywhere.
We need more people in the NHS like this principled Lady. She is a very rare breed and she is a credit to the Country. Shame on the NHS.
Excellent solution and neat
They aren't songs about slavery, Britain stopped slavery and it was about been slaves to monarchies of Europe, we shall never be slaves? A statue still stands in Lagos Nigeria of Islamists slave trader Madam Efunroye Tinubu who said she'd rather drowned her slaves than take compensation off the British and Britain brought civilization to the world Africans still believe in magic and voodoo Imperialist Britain stopped Indians burning widows alive, we stopped slavery 60years before America and hundreds of sailors died fighting the racist Islamic slave trade🏴🇬🇧
💓🤗
After all this news made up crap... it was a teenager in ireland
Can someone tell me what planet this is ruclips.net/user/shortsY71dGLWDlzc?feature=share
Fascinating story ! Also Rest in Peace
AN AMAZING BRAVE LADY. IF YOU CAN HELP IN ANY WAY PLEASE DO SO. WE NEED MORE LIKE HER TO ROOT OUT THIS SORT OF SYSTEMIC FRAUD IN CORPORATIONS/GOVERNMENT.
Les
Yet another example of shooting the messenger. So sorry to hear you have been shafted by those who should be protecting you.
I got a Uber from Heathrow to Camberley in Surrey and his sat nav wasn't working, to makes things worse he didn't even know how to get out of the carpark or even know how to get onto the M3. Probably passed his driving test on a Elephant 🐘🤣
“On an elephant”
I had a troop officer Captain Boemont that came from this Sark to Berlin nice bloke but Berlin must of been a bit of a shock
Here is an idea .... How about we put forward the best person for the job instead of the best person, with a vagina, for the job. Meritocracy is a beautiful thing.
Bless, what a courageous woman. We need people like her in this world.
Hard to believe it has been 10 years since this.
I think the knowledge is silly and I completely agree that it's archaic. But hey, I just go for uber or some other mode of transport.
So you go for a more expensive form of taxi, instead of a proper taxi?
Young people dont want to spend 2 4 years of study just to be a taxi driver , its not worth it
Do Londoners really want a shit tax dodging mini cab service that will eventually be far more expensive than a black cab ? A cab drivers keep their eyes on the road. A mini cab driver is on a sat nav and bumping into things.
I'm yet to see a professional from any job e.g. Doctor lawyer teacher etc talk so passionately about their profession and the challenges they face, the way this man has
Wonderful
Angel's move in people's lives in different ways and LORD knows how and when All we have to do is wait and Pray
With sat navs you don't need that amount of information in your head, they aren't driving horses and carriages in victorian London anymore.
I’m so sorry to hear of your health issues, praying you beat it. Well done for speaking up and hoping you don’t lose your home and get a new job xx
GPS Is better than knowledge. GPS knows where is accident human brain doesn't
We count ourselves fortunate to have known Phyllis and Werner personally.
Wow she WSW this year👏👏👏
Sark Would Seem A World Away From The Black Hills Of South Dakota ... But It's The Humanity Of This Lovely Story That Makes These Wonderful Folk Feel Like Neighbors 😊
It’s not like black cab drivers pay full tax anyway, plenty of “cash jobs” or under inflated income overinflated expenses etc
Typical Stagecaoch Nuneaton B Like
👍🥰🚣♀️
What utter tripe!
320 runs? It used to be nearly 500, didn't it? It might sound harsh but surely you would expect a driver to know where he's going and the shortest route.
And satnav doesn't know everything.
465 runs it used to be
It used to be 10000
@@l4rjy Yeah, all right. Can you post a link about that then, substantiating it? Any would be cabbies would be ready to retire by the time they had passed that.
@@oleggorky906 sorry, no links, I was talking about back in the old days 😂
I've known next to nothing about this occupation and I thank you for your time and effort on our behalf. Pat. America
Might as well abolish AWS because letting men in makes a total mockery of the idea. Make no mistake, this has nothing to do with trans people and everything to do with using them to remove women's rights.
London cab is the best in the world no gps and they know short cut I hate to use uber they suck drive suck and don’t know where to go
She had to beg her father to feed one of his starving field worker,s
Pick an argument with a cabbie have a bad day 🤔
Imagine her seeing their report cards failed
Watched the movie about this yesterday 🥰
Standards must be maintained at all costs, that's why London Cabbies are the best in the World.
I am an Uber Driver who worked in Nottingham for 2 years, didn't know a single road within a month you get to know the basics, 4-6 months you pretty much know everything and in a year you learn mad shortcuts. I moved back to Manchester and here they have a knowledge test and it seems hard but driving for 2-3 weeks literally 10-11 hours a day, I've nearly mastered all of central manchester this is 7 days a week and 10-11 hours of driving. If a year goes by I'll know it all! Don't be disheartened. I am doing Uber eats right now so as I earn, drop off and drive more and more. I learn the roads and earn money! When I don't get requests I usually drive around until I do. I also ask myself what is the name of this street and if I get it wrong, that's £1 less on my todays lunch. It's actually fun if you make it, sometimes you forget but the more and more you drive. You the roads, the image and name will lock into your mind forever! I would advise the same for london drivers! Do delivery driving while learning!
keep destroying everything that made the country great, well done. and to uber users stop using uber.
No matter what the weak and spinless B.B.C. say the facts of history remain and washing out the parts that were very much part of that particular era is illogical because it does not change anything and these events have happened saying we must not mention a huge part of history because when one uses such tenuous links with the past much of history could be wiped away . Slavery was very bad but WW2 was totally insane and so far mans ultimate evil ...so do we wipe WW2 from our history which was so horrendous it makes slavery a tea party by comparison ,people need to take politics out of their hatred of the privileged . I am a pragmatist and hence i do not envy anyone.
I just watched Penguin Bloom on Netflix. It was such a heart warming story. I absolutely love that it was based on a true story! The whole Bloom family is so inspiring! Including Penguin!
This story has been made into a Netflix film 🍿
Using surrendered prisoners of war in mine clearing is against the Geneva Convention. Probably the British gave them a different designation, as Eisenhaeur did.
It's silly to have rules of war.... its war not saying people shouldnt have humanity but if u can have the restraint to follow rules of war you have the restraint to find a way around going to war in the first place.
The French did the same. Many POW's died
The British used Argentine POW's to navigate a minefield during the Falklands war. Several POW's were killed.
