Thank you! They were 255 / 60 / 15. Sold the car a few years ago, but then got another with ttops. I put the same tyres on that. Sadly, had to sell that too

@@user-lz3lr3yx2d man I loved that one. But I was forced to sell it as I'd lost my job and was planning to relocate. I'd love another 77-81 Firebird with a ttop. Not fussed if it's a base Firebird either, must have a ttop though! Love these 2nd gens. Have to say the base Firebirds and Esprits really look stylish without the Trans Am scoops and spoilers. Would happily take another Trans Am too!! I hope you find one, they're so much fun.

Thanks man, but I sold it a couple of months ago. Miss it! There must be lots of 403s here since everyone does the LS swap here. You got to check out the hundreds of workshops here, someone is bound to find one for you.

I miss this one. It was a base Firebird with the 301 but had a cracked rod. Wanted to keep it old school and I managed to find a 403 for it. Solid car, lovely deep red paint.

I got it with an Olds 307 in it. Believe it had a 301 before so I suppose it is a step up!

@@imrantransam7837 interesting choice they made, yeah that 301 was like 210hp (with the turbo)

@@regalt1987 according to the vin my car is an Esprit, someone did a good job on making it a TA clone. Maybe down the line I'll swap in a LS motor

@@imrantransam7837 oh man even worse it had the old 231 Buick V6. The Esprint had this larger thinner steering wheel. did they keep that. I bought my mothers 81 Esprint in like 92 form her and drove it through HS. its was so slow and bad.

@@regalt1987 it's got all the TA goodies now, only thing that says it's an Esprit is the VIN. I know the steering wheel you are taking about :)

LS swap it. Actually for the time; one of the only makers of muscle cars that tried to do there best considering the crappy emissions controls all over it.

I'm from the UK originally and wonder how I would ever be able to bring my car back home with me what with all those ULEZ rules etc. It doesn't seem possible. Need to win the lotto, it would help in many ways!!

@@imrantransam7837 ULEZ is only really central london (atleast at the moment) its just the fact that they have changed our standard pump petrol to E5 ethanol blend and its grenading old cars. i have a 1998 bmw 323i convertible (e36) so i have to run it on premium which is £120 a tank :/ my insurance is £4,200 a year as well, and its just like if i had a firebird id probably be bankrupt already. dont even get me started on road tax and the condition of the roads, really feels like the government hates cars and expects everyone to shell out £55k for a new shitty electric car
