    Skylar was too attached to shelia when clearly they didn’t care about her anymore. She was chasing them even though they didn’t wanna b with her anymore. She was literally blackmailing them cause they didn’t wanna be her friend. Skylar was so wrong in so much of this but people keep brushing it off.

    • @YoungBlood085
      @YoungBlood085 5 дней назад

      She had no intention of revealing their secret. She was deeply hurt because she was losing her childhood friend in Shelia for a period of time, Skylar was trying to start new friendships and regain old friendships she was moving on and then Rachel and Shelia called her and manipulated her into believing they could put all this behind them. It doesn't matter what Skylar may have done wrong. Nobody deserved to die over this drama. Rachel and Shelia are monsters.

    I loved watching Juan rip Jodi to shreds it drove me nuts when people were criticizing him for raising his voice at her. He was there to get justice for Travis not there to make friends he didn’t need to baby her or cuddle and there was a reason why he was doing it. He was asking her questions in different ways out of order and calling her out on her behavior which annoyed her to no end and then he would give her a opportunity to lash out at her which she always took because she thinks it annoyed him but really she was doing what he wanted and showing she not this poor abused little wallflower

    These books are very written and Vance's performance is perfectly accurate. I hated the last movie where they killed off Bond who just stood on a roof and let the missiles kill him. Then they turned Q into a Queer and MoneyPenny into a black woman who acts likes a 00 and not M's secretary. If they go woke and make Bond a black lesbian, then James Bond is truly dead.

    I appreciate the effort, but for me this narrator felt a bit flat. I listened to first 20 minutes, skipped through to a few spots to see if I thought it improved, but left a bit disappointed.

    Rula Lenska, the narrator of this version, is utterly fabulous! Her deeper voice commands such knowledge, hidden beneath the surface. To be truthful, as I began listening, I got confused, thinking to myself, "Wait, is this the correct recording? Where the blankety-blank-blank is Bond?!" Fear not, Commander Bond does indeed enter. I really liked the unfamiliar perspective of this novel. Unique, unexpected, and thoroughly enjoyable.

    I don't think Fleming's Bond is humorless. He laughs often at other's jokes and observations. His monologues are very amusing. He appreciates irony and sarcasm too much for a guy w no sense of what is funny. True to the British of his time and beyond, his humor is very wry.

    There's a few anomalies in this sequel to OHMSS. Having shot dead Bond's new wife at the conclusion of the last book, Blofeld exacts revenge for Bond's interference in his latest master plan. It's odd that The Union Corse chief [father of Tracy Bond] does not re-appear as he was happy to offer 007 £ 1M for his daughter's marriage. Yet there is no mention of Draco at all in this book. Logically, he would join forces with Bond to track down Blofeld. Aside from this, it's a fine tale, set in Japan for the most part and I would recommend it.. I did read somewhere that Fleming based a lot of his characters on actual people he met in his working life. The hilarious Dikko Henderson persona was inspired by some Australian prick that Fleming had met in his diplomatic service days. Unlike most Australians, the Henderson character can actually hold his booze and provides excellent dialogue, some of it genuinely funny. Check this one out. You won't be disappointed!

    The main plot-hole is the sheer impossibility of M sending Bond to the very place that the bombs are hidden and then Bond meeting the girlfriend of Largo almost as soon as he arrives! One of the later novels and Fleming was clearly struggling to link the plot lines together.

    I’ve been a true crime fan for well over 30 years and this is one of the most tragic and shocking cases that I’ve ever heard of. I think that it happened for a combination of reasons. I think that because Skylar was poor and they were not, they thought they were better than her. I also think that they were jealous of the relationship that she had with her parents. They might have been better off financially, but they clearly lacked the love and attention that Skylar experienced at home. I think that they thought they mattered and she didn’t. They thought that no one besides her parents would care and that they would never become suspects. I also think that it made them mad, especially Sheila, that she had her own mind and couldn’t be controlled. Unfortunately they’ll end up being paroled at some point, but if any minors deserve actual life with no parole, it’s those two. May Skylar RIP and her parents find peace as well.
