I just found out that Jerry, the drummer, passed away early this morning. Rest in Peace man. One of the best drummers and kindest human beings I've come across.

agreed. i got to see orange tulip conspiracy a couple months ago as well. jason schimmel is a musical genius. not only is he a great improvisational jazz guitarist, but plays and blends several other styles extremely well from metal to gypsy. he wrote the whole OTC album himself. definitely worth checking out.

I think what you don't see in this clip is, after the set, Chris Wood immediately falls asleep from exhaustion. His bass lays awake in bed, smoking a cigarette, wondering if Chris will still be there in the morning... but decides it was well worth it, regardless. One of my top 3 bass players of all time.

skerik and claypool are two of my favorite musicians, but they put on a lackluster show that night. i've seen them both several times, and they are usually awesome. les just seemed really unenthused that night. sc3 happened to be on fire.

yea, i got a much better video of this song on their last tour - with closeup of his footwork. they are definitely nice guys (remembered seeing me from this show before) and very talented musicians.

thanks, i was trying to find out his name. he was pretty awesome playing slap bass, just seemed like he was always caught off guard when the time for a bass solo came around. it also didn't help that leo nocentelli was being completely egotistical and almost seemed out to embarrass nori the whole night.
