there is a bit, esp on the alu plate and on the edges. switched to plastic and it helped but still getting a little on backspace

yea I agree, it is like a bit of a cooler, desaturated cream than I was expecting. its not bad, I like it. but yeaa, the colors around it will definitely affect how it looks. next to neos cream it really brings out those greenish tones you mentioned loll

@@moriimx I ordered gmk modern materials stone which looks like to be a perfect fit for it. until then vibrato will do the job.

sometimes its the switch not the stabs, a loose switch can also make a stab wobble/rattle

would go very light on the stem, really doesn't need much

with an alu plate and the right switches it should be plenty high pitched imo

plastic boards like plastic plates can sound deeper and kinda muffled imo, aluminum is brighter and more resonant. theres so many variables that can affect the sound though

hey! sure no prob- so from my experience switches that use any kind of upe blended stem (LY, UPE) tend to have some kind of noise that almost sounds like a ticking stabilizer. you can really notice it if you just lightly tap on the keycap kind of like you would when you test a space bar or mods and it actually almost sounds the same. now honestly, i’m not exactly sure what it is but it seems to be from the stem-keycap interacting, that’s my best guess. some switches have it kind of bad some don’t. have tried with all different combinations of keycaps (brand, material, condition) and even swapped housings with other switches to confirm that it’s not something else in the housing that’s ticking. will say, have been noticing some of the newer offerings have been fixing this it seems.

black lattice

Got the exact same config but when i press on the bottom row, the pcb actually bottoms out onto the bottom case and i hear a thudding sound everytime

i had the same thing when using the softest lattice 😅. are you using the black lattice too?
